This novel is similar to Martial God Asura - a dark horse MC who constantly surpasses the expectations of those around him. 

Liu Wuxie is a calm and rational character who thinks things through before acting and is always in control of the situation, which makes for a very satisfying read. He is also similar to Chu Feng in the sense that he reciprocates goodwill and kindness. He can tell who genuinely cares about him, and he pays them back many times over.

Personally, I like characters who have a clear moral compass of right and wrong, which makes you want to root for them. 

The writing is also easy to follow, making it a nice, chill read when returning home from a tiring day at work.
