Hello, everyone! I’m Rubrub, the translator for I Woke Up as the Villain. 

I highly recommend this novel for those who like reading novels and watching characters grow. The story isn’t too dark or heavy, but rather a pretty light read, which lets me enjoy the novel while translating as well.

I started this position because of my friends who were already translating for WW. I guess they knew I was a huge fan of Korean novels and had once tried to write my own before – though this is something I am a bit embarrassed to talk about hehe. Yet translating a novel helped me a lot, highly influenced my creativity and imagination, and improved my sentence skills which I would need if I write my own novel someday. And also it's quite fascinating to use both my English and Korean skills to work on something that many people find joy in reading. 

To add up a bit more information about myself - I grew up in South Korea for most of my life, and I came to Canada to attend high school and University. And finally, I’m graduating this year with a Computing science degree.

Thank you all for reading this novel. I feel blessed to have this opportunity and work with an amazing team in WW. I have been working for just a few months but so far I couldn’t be more thankful for such an amazing editor and manager.
