I'm a bit embarrassed to point out a translation mistake I made. "Cultivator" Shangguan is not the correct way to translate this character's name. His name is actually Shangguan Xiu. The "xiu" is the same character which is in the word for "cultivation," and you may be familiar with from other translations which have words like "Xiuzhen" and "Xiuxian." I assumed that this "xiu" was a title of his, and didn't research it further. Later on it became apparent that it's just his name. I've already gone back and fixed it in previous chapters, and going forward, Shanguan Song's grandfather is Shangguan Xiu, not "Cultivator Shangguan."
