I mentioned in the recent Discord AMA that Madam Deathblade runs a little business. I got interviewed today by a group of college students who are doing their graduation thesis on a topic related to her business. During the course of the interview, the subject of my translating came up, and the college students were shocked to hear that xianxia and xuanhuan are so popular outside of China. "Aren't there so many words that are hard to translate?" one of them asked. I showed them the list of active translations, and they recognized many of them. Right now there is some but not a lot of awareness in China about our little community. I imagine that awareness will only continue to grow, especially in the near future....
