Hi, my name is MatchaMaker and I’m the Korean translator that’s in charge of translating God of Blackfield :)

Some information about me: I actually started translating as an employee for an entertainment company, where I translated and wrote Korean emails and liaised with Korean clients. But as everyone knows, music and entertainment events have been shut down because of the pandemic, so I was looking for different opportunities to use my translating skills. Living with Korean family members definitely helped me learn Korean, and I also LOVE watching Korean shows and love to read webtoons and webnovels. Being hired by Wuxiaworld was a pleasant surprise, and I’m happy that I get to use my passion to work with wonderful people and bring Korean novels to the English audience. 

A HUGE thank you to Yojj, my online mother and Invictum, my editor who had to have a lot of patience and went through a lot to keep up with me as I got accustomed to this job. Without them, the chapters wouldn’t have been able to be published XD. Also wanted to thank Cosy for giving me the opportunity and for her support, along with Grace and Penguin for their feedback and for encouraging me when I needed help.
