Hi everyone, my kids’ cultivation novel The Jade Pendant is now available in ebook and paperback. Designed to introduce readers ages 8-12 to cultivation novels, it’s a quick, fun read that’s totally family friendly. It’s the perfect gift for your kids, siblings, family friends, local Elementary School library, etc.

As you can see if you check out the novel page, I’m using the pen name Mister B for this novel. That’s what Elementary-aged students of mine have called me in the past.

I kept the writing level of this novel right at a 4th-grade level. My son (formerly known as Baby Deathblade, now called Battle Boy), is 9 years old and in 3rd grade, and he can read it quiet well. His reading is a bit advanced for his age, so I’d say advanced 3rd-graders should be able to read it easily. 4th graders who read at grade level will have no problem with it. It should be a fast read for 5th-graders and above.

It’s also designed with Mandarin learners in mind. There are a few Chinese characters in most of the chapters, plus a dictionary at the end that can be used for study purposes. However, an understanding of Chinese is not necessary to read the novel. Most bits of Chinese are explained within the context they’re used.
