His words immediately put me on guard.
"I don't believe you. It sounds like you're just saying anything to avoid being thrown into the ocean."
"Why wouldn't you believe me?! Do you think just anyone can engrave a magical circuit? Who else could breach the veil of the underworld?!"
"Just trust me and follow my lead! I will show you a new world," Isaac said, sounding incredibly desperate.
