The National Research Institute on the outskirts of Chongqing, once China’s largest research facility, had security measures befitting its formidable reputation.
In particular, the most famous measure was the barrier encasing the entire institute that stood twenty meters tall and seven meters thick. Its purpose was to protect the containment facility Li Kenxie built during his era as an S-rank hero but had since been repurposed.
