In the stifling silence, Davey noticed Kain's expression sour. It seemed as though he was upset that Davey had failed to put the cherry on top of the cake he had carefully baked.
Hyun-Ah probably noticed something was off, realizing this wasn't a simple issue.
"Are you joking? Or are you seriously saying that?" Hyun-Ah asked.
Kain suddenly stood up and cleared his throat. "Ahem! Ahem! It seems some things haven’t been cleared up. Can you give us a moment?”
"... Sure," she answered.
Kain quickly grabbed Davey's arm and walked rapidly to a spot out of her sight. Davey found Kain’s visibly annoyed face funny in its own way.
"Whew… What are you doing?”

Davey nodded. "Go on."

Kain continued to voice his complaints incessantly.
