Following the destruction that Rinne had caused, the cave started to collapse. Davey had previously cut through the cave once already, so it was only a matter of time before it gave in to the additional shock.
As they tried to flee the collapsing cave, Davey helped the boy; he was still recovering even after the Rain of Heaven. However, the boy suddenly and urgently grabbed his clothes, stopping Davey. The boy, breathless and covered in blood, seemed to have something important to say as he mouthed his words.
"Is there something you want to say?" Davey asked.
He knew how unusual it was to see a foreigner in such a dire state. Usually, the foreigners’ bodies turned to dust upon death, yet this boy’s body worked like a local. The man whom Rinne had blasted away would have probably caused the boy’s state.
"I understand you have a lot to say, but let's focus on your treatment first before we talk."
