Perserque’s face turned pale. She tried to run away in a hurry, yet she was left with no escape route, giving her no choice but to get caught.
However, she was tight-lipped, and in the end, Davey didn’t get the information he wanted.
“I’ll never tell you! Not even if I die.” She clammed up like she had just made a life-altering decision, leaving him with nothing he could do.
She knew all too well how much Davey would tease her if he found out the details.
In the end, Davey gave up on trying to get the story of her cringe mage days out of her. Yet, he didn’t give up entirely. He figured the second best would have to do, so he decided to consult the knowledge of someone who knew her well.
He asked Ares, the Sword God who resided in the Saint Sanctuary, for help. Knowing how bad-tempered Ares was, Davey figured the man just might spill the beans. At least, that was what he thought. Unfortunately, Ares claimed he didn’t know what Perserque was like back then.
