“Welcome! What can I get you?”
“Ummm. Are you okay?” the man asked Reina in a confused tone.
Reina nonchalantly responded, “What do you mean, sir?”
Moderation couldn’t hide his confusion. “I mean… Evangeline just disappeared…”
“Sir, I’d appreciate it if you refrained from trying to engage us in idle chatter while we’re working.” Reina drew a firm line with a bright smile, only making him frown even more.
