Judging by what he had heard, discerned the woman to be Vengeance the Demon and the man to be Vakram the Fiend. Both exuded an overwhelming presence, looking ready to strike at any moment.
The chancellor, clearly agitated by the outsider who had disrupted his plans and slaughtered his subordinates, screamed at the top of his lungs, “Kill him!! Kill that bastard!!”

“Aaagh!! My arm!! My arm!!”
Before anyone could react, a flying blade had already sliced off one of his arms, sending him crashing to the ground as he twisted and screamed in agony. Perhaps he had been too complacent, thinking he still had a trump card to use. Maybe he was just a full-blown psycho. No one knew.

‘He sure does piss me off.’ Davey, his expression cold, watched as the two execution unit leaders took the moment to launch their attacks.
The demon came flying at him, aiming for his head, while the fiend vanished into the shadows, reappearing behind Davey.
