Davey adjusted an overhead light to get a clearer look at their eyes. "Hmm. Looks good."
Once he nodded in approval, the three girls in front of him displayed vastly different reactions.
First to observe was Latiana von Terraria—sister of Maximus, the Princess of Terraria Kingdom, and the first to benefit from his prosthetic eye project.
Her reaction was one of despair.

She should’ve been happy that she could see again, yet her face was anything but bright.

Unlike Latiana, she seemed to have completely acclimated to her newfound sight, her expression cheerful and full of excitement.
Lastly, there was the little dragon girl who had lost both her eyes—and even had her heart ruptured when a fallen dragon attacked her in the Dragon’s Nest.
"These eyes are amazing!”
Seeing the tiny blonde dragon girl marveling at her new vision, Davey reached out and gently ruffled her hair.
"Mr. Davey, when I grow up, I’ll be the best wife in the world for you!”
He could hear Hovana collapsing somewhere in the distance, clutching her chest in shock.
