From lectures and research to administration—professors were involved in the overall operation of the school. As such, most had a close relationship with the group of students under their tutelage or supervision.

Wu Gyo-Hwan was reluctant to engage in private interactions with others. Wu Gyo-Hwan’s students likewise avoided him.
