In order for Lee Shin-Woo to set up the manufacturing equipment for Golems, he needed to dig a hole through the passageway leading to the winery. Just in case, he first strengthened the passageway's foundation so that it wouldn't collapse. He then placed a sturdy pillar in the center, which would allow him to expand the corridor.
