A Cultural Merit Medal was an award given to those who had made clear contributions to the advancement of culture and the arts, thereby promoting cultural growth and national development.
Originally, one needed to accumulate at least fifteen years of achievements in the relevant field, but in cases of exceptional merit, it could be awarded even before that period. That was why there had been talk about Yoo-Jin and Ju Yung-In recently, and even Haru being considered for it. However, in reality, the chances of actually receiving it were extremely low.
