Book 2, Chapter 156 - Green Leaf Tactic

The owner of this tender, white hand was Bai Qingqing. When Zhao Jiuge and Liu Yan had their final bout, the battle between Bai Qingqing and Liu Ting was long over.

At the mid stage of the Foundation Realm, Liu Ting stood no chance against Bai Qingqing. Bai Qingqing’s background was no worse than the Liu family.

The short, yellow flying sword flew out from Liu Ting’s hand toward Bai Qingqing. Bai Qingqing had used up a lot of her spirit force in the battle before, so she didn’t bother using any spells. She simply released spirit force to wrap around the short, yellow flying sword and then slashed back with a few rays of silver sword energy.

The strength of the sword energy caused the inexperienced Liu Ting to tremble. She was caught off guard and couldn’t be bothered with controlling the yellow flying sword anymore.

In a rush, she quickly took out a one-meter-long, little flower umbrella.

The little flower umbrella gave off a glow on its surface, revealing that it was a treasure, but otherwise, it looked no different from an ordinary umbrella.

The umbrella was covered in various different flower prints. Liu Ting quickly opened the umbrella and rotated it while covering her body.

The rays of sword energy smashed into the umbrella, but Liu Ting was as stable as Mount Tai, and she chuckled.

Then she raised the umbrella and pointed at Bai Qingqing, a fierce ray of light shot out. Her attack was very vicious—she had aimed directly for Bai Qingiqng’s head.

The short exchange completely ignited Bai Qingqing’s pride. She completely lost her patience with Liu Ting.

She took off the purple jade hairpin holding up her hair and her gaze became sharp. Without the hairpin, her silk-like hair fell down and draped over her shoulders.

Her tender, white hand rose and flashed with the jade hairpin. A ray of purple light shot toward the small flower umbrella in Liu Ting’s hand. Although she didn’t have much spirit force left, she was going to risk the large consumption to injure Liu Ting. Forget the Liu family, not even the Mysterious Heaven Sword Sect was much stronger than her family.

A harsh sound came from the little flower umbrella.

The light around the little flower umbrella rippled, but it was all futile before this ray of purple light.

The umbrella was instantly cut in half, and Liu Ting’s eyes were filled with horror. After destroying the umbrella, the remaining purple light flew toward her.

At this moment, she felt the stabbing pain from the purple light, and it continued to enlarge in her eyes. Death was closing in on her.

Just at this moment, a cold snort echoed.

It turned out to be Aunt Tao, who had been watching the battle with a  smile.

The charming smile on that beautiful face had long disappeared and had become cold. She didn’t move, but a pink light instantly slashed through the purple light.

The two lights instantly mixed together and disappeared.

Aunt Tao pulled Liu Ting to her side. Her eyes were filled with shock, but she didn’t make any more moves against Bai Qingqing.

The weak-looking Bai Qingqing arrived beside Zhao Jiuge to help him wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth. Their situation was getting worse.

“Are you okay?” Bai Qingqing softly asked. At this moment, she looked so weak, anyone would feel pity looking at her. This was a rare sight from her.

Zhao Jiuge gently shook his head. Although the two of them had defeated the Liu siblings, this didn’t make him feel happy. There were still four old fellows that hadn’t made a move yet.

When Zhao Jiuge saw Aunt Tao attack, just the aura she gave off made him feel no will to resist.

“If they really intend to keep us here, then even if we can’t escape, I’ll make them pay a price. It doesn’t matter how powerful they are.” At this moment, the weakened Bai Qingqing revealed an expression that showed she would rather die than be dishonored.

Although she didn’t expect the situation to be this bad, she had her own pride. How could she be willing to lower her noble head?

While they were speaking softly, the people on the other side didn't remain still.

“Aunt Tao, I don’t care anymore. You have to help me kill that bitch!” A sharp screech came from Liu Ting while she threw a tantrum before Aunt Tao. When she looked at Bai Qingqing, her eyes were filled with resentment.

Although the little flower umbrella was only a precious treasure, it was her favorite. Now that it was destroyed by Bai Qingqing, she wanted to kill Bai Qingqing.

“Okay, okay, okay. Later Aunt Tao will help you teach them a lesson.” She looked at the girl she had watched grow up with a gaze filled with love. She showed no resistance against Liu Ting throwing a tantrum and agreed to her request.

Hearing this, Liu Ting’s expression immediately changed into a smile, and she affectionately held Aunt Tao’s arm.

The always-calm Liu Yen looked at Zhao Jiuge and Bai Qingqing in shock. Their performances were amazing. Both had quickly ended the battle and dealt with Liu Yan and Liu Ting. In particular, the beautiful girl not only held an extremely rare spirit treasure-grade flying sword, even the purple jade hairpin was a spirit treasure. One spirit treasure could be explained with luck, but two caused Liu Yen to become vigilant.

Could this girl be a beloved disciple of a powerful expert of the Mysterious Heaven Sword Sect? Thinking about this, Liu Yen had decided to simply let the young master and young lady vent their anger. He wouldn’t dare to kill.

If it was someone who was ordinary or didn’t show such outstanding combat power, he wouldn’t mind killing them. It wouldn’t cause him any trouble, and it was not like he has never done something like that before.

What he didn’t know was that it was this decision that saved their lives.

Liu Yen said to Liu Ting, “Ting Er, don’t make a fuss. Later, your Aunt Tao will help you teach them a lesson and let you vent your anger. Although the Liu family is large and not afraid of trouble, killing people is still not good. The Liu family can’t cover the sky and do anything without thinking.”

Liu Ting pouted and her chest heaved up and down. She felt that just teaching them a lesson wasn’t enough, but she opened her mouth a few times before she nodded. There was a hint of grievance in her eyes as she held the broken umbrella in her hand. She felt a bit depressed, but she still had to listen to Elder Liu’s words.

Seeing Liu Ting’s depressed expression, Aunt Tao was not happy.

There was a flicker of light in her eyes and a hint of doubt in her voice. “What’s the matter? A bit anxious?”

“Hmmm, it's better to be safe than sorry.” Liu Yen’s expression was very serious. He didn’t dare to be careless around this charming woman. They were both at the Nascent Soul Realm and his cultivation was half a step higher, but he didn’t dare to be careless around her. Her charm spells were difficult to defend again.

Hearing this, Aunt Tao nodded and didn’t say much. Since Liu Yen had said this, he had his own reasons.

She turned and touched Liu Ting’s head in relief.

Liu Yen was about to tell Liu Yan to return, but Liu Yan could not swallow the anger. He ignored the injury he had suffered and moved once more.

His hands quickly moved and he muttered some words. As his hands moved, green spirit force gathered around his body until it formed a torrent of green specks.

The moment Liu Yan’s hands stopped, the green torrent flew toward Zhao Jiuge. The green specks turned into green leaves that were sharp like knives. The green leaves appeared one after the other and cut through the air.

“Green Leaf Tactic!”

Liu Yan muttered these words with hatred in his heart. The leaves flew toward Zhao Jiuge like bolts of lightning.

He had grown up with a golden spoon in his mouth and he had always bullied others but had never been bullied. He could not swallow the anger of being slapped down by Zhao Jiuge.

Although this encounter hadn’t brought him much harm, the shame it brought to his heart was something Liu Yan could not accept.

He gritted his teeth while he looked at Zhao Jiuge and felt joy. “No matter how powerful your spirit force is, I don’t believe you can resist the power of this spell!”

However, thoughts were perfect, but reality was often cruel.

The next scene was another blow to Liu Yan’s heart. He thought he would get to see Zhao Jiuge’s miserable appearance, but the next moment, their roles reversed.

When the endless, green leaves appeared, Zhao Jiuge felt a sense of danger and didn’t hesitate to use his stronger ace, the golden dragons!

The three golden dragons inside his dantian opened their eyes after being called and flew out of his body.

In a flash, the dragons’ roars echoed.

The canyon was covered in golden light.

Aside from Bai Qingqing, everyone’s eyes widened from this sudden change. Even Liu Yen and Aunt Tao, who were at the Nascent Soul Realm, felt the might of the dragons’ roars.

The three golden dragons charged at the green leaves and their source.

In an instant the three golden dragons destroyed the green light that was the source of the leaves. After destroying the Green Leaf Tactic, there were only two dragons left, and they flew directly toward Liu Yan.

Liu Yan was completely dumbfounded by this. Before, he thought this bumpkin could not break through the protective treasure he had. Then he was filled with confidence when he used the Green Leaf Tactic, but the bumpkin he laughed at had a spell even more powerful than the Green Leaf Tactic he was so proud of.

This was the equivalent of slapping him in the face until his skin was torn off, and now someone was going to rub salt on the wound.

His pupils widened. At this moment, he could only watch the two golden dragons charge at him. He felt a sense of powerlessness and didn’t know how to defend.

“Little brat, you dare! Quickly, stop your attack!” At this moment, the previously calm Liu Yen suddenly let out an angry roar, the veins on his head bulging.
