As you can see in my twitter feed, I'm super excited to have gotten a bottle of my favorite beer. It's from the Stone Brewery in San Diego (my hometown), and it's called Ruination IPA, a super hoppy, high-alcohol-content brew. Ahhhhh how I missed this. Unfortunately, the bottle cost over 80 RMB (about $13), whereas a bottle of local beer costs only 3 RMB (about $0.5). That's more expensive that the price you would pay in the U.S., which is standard fare for imported goods in China. So I guess I won't be enjoying my favorite beer very often. Maybe every 3 months? Every 2 months? EVERY MONTH!?!?
