39 thoughts on “TranXending Vision (超品透视)” - NO SPOILERS and NO CURSING

    1. To piggy-back off of your comment– I won’t give any spoilers outside of my minor observations so far. I really like this novel and it reminds me of GOC, but with less of an emphasis on Crime and more just mystery theme. MC is pretty likable too, since he doesn’t seem to be losing his mind [yet].

      Here’s my theories:
His powers could just be manifestations of his subconscious superbrain. We all have one, though I don’t really know what to call it. It’s just that our conscious mind is literally constantly in the way… and we like it that way.

His hallucinations are the waking representation of how many in REAL life can have really long dreams that are immensely detailed. Some people experience dreams in one night that can seem to last entire years! That’s how utterly capable and calculated the brain is compared to a computer.

Time can slow down, you can sense things with more than just your eyes, and you can direct your conscious mind to do an extremely simple task so that your subconscious mind takes over…. this almost always results in a loss of memory for the time you utilized your subconscious.
I’ve also found that your being is constantly absorbing the world around you and taking note of everything, determining what’s useless or not in the blink of an eye. Then when you go through the motions, blur your eyes and trust yourself, you utilize these things perfectly to fulfill your subconscious coding.

So basically his eye is fabricating entire ghost images of the world around him in real time, and accessing memory at will, but you might also notice how his values come into play here. What drives him or what his “Personal Coding” is set up to do, clearly reflects in his choices and his actions, even if he doesn’t understand it on a conscious level. He values the appearance of women with nice personalities much more than that of a queen b, for instance. Maybe I don’t understand love all that well either, because he can’t consciously limit himself when it comes to his childhood friend.

The reason I come to this conclusion is because I know people that can do entire status checks for your body… through the pulse in your wrist. They can tell where you are tense or inflamed, where your energy is blocked or even SPECIFICALLY on the body where you are dealing with EMOTIONAL trauma.
      Zonology, Acupuncture, Herbalism, Tui Na…

Heck, I know some other folks who get grasps on the people near them by sensing their breathing patterns, and I bet that’s only what they’re willing to tell me. Though I’m probably digressing from the outrageous points I’ve already made, I personally feel as though I can call on information at any time that I may have consciously missed before.

My point is that this may not be some superpower, and it may truly be a *mutation or written as a kind of key to the human mind. I’m honestly not sure where our potential in these avenues truly can end…

And I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on (Get it?) giving his ability a workout…
It seems as though he’ll consistently improve it and earn a kind of stamina to it. If it’s the one muscle in his body he exercises the most, that would be rather appropriate.
And in this way, I also expect to see many more types of abilities manifest from this kind of subconscious link, as anyone might find through constant practice or meditation, or even by trying to reapply one skill in a new area.

    1. What do you mean, “good and not harem?” A novel is only good if it isn’t harem. Even the slightest bit of harem in a novel degrades it instantly to a max of 3 out of 5 stars. Just saying.

      1. No one thing inherently degrades a novel. If you’re not willing to look past your inhibitions and jump into what could be a very good book, I can only say you’re too short-sighted.

      2. You are just too short-sighted. Why the hell would you say that a harem degenerates a novel? and you give novel less stars because of that, you piece of shit. Stop hating a genre for being a genre, the harem is clearly not your cup of tea, but stop hating it, just move on if it is not to your liking.

-And this novel is gonna be a harem for sure, i can tell that from the cover and synopsis.

      3. Did u like stop and think before u wrote that comment? How good a novel is, isn’t defined by whether its a harem or not. Ur logic(if that what it is) makes no sense bro.

        1. To hate or love a Harem genre is actually depend on the person who read it..
          .
Just because you hate a Harem genre doesn’t mean you have to argue with those who love it..
          .
Tbh, I loves a harem genre, however, if the harem turns out to be ‘idiotic’, bland, and the like(you get what i’m saying?)..
The rating would be 1 out of 10 stars.. At least from my pov.. And if there is some kind of ‘ntr’, this Daoist’ Heart would surely fall apart

          1. I need to agree with you here. I am a man who can tolerate a lot when I am reading, however, when it comes to NTR crap I usually drop the series asap.

        1. The story doesn’t really matter if it’s a harem or not. It all depends on the authors writing style. I’ve read MANY western books that have great solo couples. Which are not boring, and keep it fresh and exciting throughout the entire series. It just depends on creative writing styles. Harem in my view = author has to recreate brand new environments to keep the readers attention. They could easily do the same if they just add a hot and steamy sex scene in solo couple novels (every so often). And it would create the exact same feel as a harem.

Maybe that’s the difference between western and Asian novels. Western novels go hot and steamy (in detail), and Asian novels are more soft core with multiple new heroines.

  1. …The synopsis sounds like some kid got over-stressed with his life and turned chuuni on the world.

I mean, the picture has him wearing a big collared leather jacket, he’s wearing a thick golden necklace, his left eye “gained powers” and he covers it with a bandage…

    …awfully suspicious…

Seriously though, thanks for bringing the story here. I look forward to reading it!

    1. FINALLY, SOMEONE WHO SPEAKS MY LANGUAGE. I can’t believe the top guy’s comment who is hating novels for being harem. It only makes it better when there are multiple waifus to love.

      1. I can’t really agree, in against the gods the MC is getting more and more wives and it’s simply boring to me, nothing else, on the contrary the fidelity shown by Meng Hao in ISSTH is (to me) a lot more enjoyable. I’m not saying it’s bad or anything but sometimes it’s too much… Like, two, three wives can be fun in a light novel, but more than that and a naughty personnage becomes a sex mad one…

I don’t definitely condemn them but they have a lot more to do to convince me…

        1. In my opinion one girl is good as long as she has an actual personality and is well written, don’t hate me by the way but I’m kind of in the midway of the 2 war camps here, I like harem but the paper thin personalities just bug me and the problem with one is in most novels it’s normal to kinda shove her aside turning her into a side character who the MC unconditionally loves but is totally reliant on the MC turning her into a side character that can’t really think for herself. basically girl love MC, as soon as MC starts to love her, girl takes -50 intelligence -50 wisdom and is willing to die for him.

          1. I think u r in the majority group actually. No matter how much one likes a genre, if it’s badly written it will be bad.
I do think you are a bit harsh with the “side character who the MC unconditionally loves…can’t really think for herself.” but depends on perspective I guess…

          2. You should read Tales of Demons and Gods then. Well written characters and only 1-3 women and frankly… zero marriages so far.

  2. Do i get different powers if i freeze my right eye? Can I have both at once?
Burn my left eye and freeze my right eye for superpowers and no negative impact on my vision? Who wouldn’t!

  3. I think this one kinda resemble AS (Almighty Student) in the eye power thingy and accident but maybe it’ll turn out different so let’s wait till it accumulate some chapters to read and compare.
P.S. Never decide on the quality of a novel based on it’s gendre everyone have likes and dislikes (I hate NTR btw but some people dig it), the thing that decide if the novel is good or bad is the way the author present or write the novel making it either a gem or a piece of crap.

    1. If that was the case they wouldn’t be so popular. It’s a sort of escapist fantasy for teen guys in my opinion. Since they’re the main audience for ln and wuxia, many authors try to use harems. What you’re giving is a made up statistic based on your opinion, and I think stories that don’t use harems effectively are likely to not have been very good stories in the first place. Forced romance can be pretty annoying though.

  4. The novel so far( (chapter 23) is really good. And the character and story development is solid as well. The MC seems sensible and doesn’t seem to have a OP plot armor as of now. The translation quality is also (as always) excellent. I would like to know the release schedule if you don’t mind me asking.
