Who Let Him Cultivate?!

Author's Leave Request

December 5th. Clear skies.

The weather is good today. I handed over temporary authority of the safe zone to the doctor, packed my belongings, strapped my laptop to my back, and officially set out.

This time, the journey to the zombie territory in the north is fraught with peril. Bringing subordinates along will only be a burden. It’s better to travel alone.

Strictly speaking, though, I’m not completely alone. The planetary wills of the Blue Planet and the Zombie Planet have been following me the whole time. They’re so annoying.

December 6th. Clear skies.

Snow is falling in thick flurries. The cold is so biting that even my fingers tremble as I type.

December 7th. Heavy snow.

Lost.

December 10th. Overcast.

I can finally see the road ahead clearly. I come across a group of humans claiming to be adventurers from another safe zone. Their primary task is scouting for supplies outside.

Among them is a woman. Judging by the rifle slung across her back, she should be a sniper. She thinks I’m a survivor who has crawled out of a basement and asks if I want to tag along. After a moment’s thought, I agreed. It’ll be a good opportunity to ask for directions to the zombie zone.

The others clearly consider me dead weight. They take every chance to sneer and taunt me, especially one hulking brute who seems to find me an eyesore no matter what I do. Perhaps he has a crush on the sniper.

December 12th. Clear skies.

While I was sleeping, the adventurers were besieged by zombies and plunged into a tough battle. Just as their defenses were about to be breached, I woke from my sleep.

I swept a cold gaze over the zombies surrounding them, barking a command for them to scram. The zombies fled in terror.

The way the adventurers looked at me visibly changed. There was a hint of fear in their eyes. The hulking brute, in particular, was so scared that he dropped to his knees, shivering uncontrollably.

Seeing that I could no longer interact with them as an ordinary person, I asked them for a map of the vicinity and directions to the zombie region, then parted ways with them.

December 15th. Overcast.

I’ve finally reached the zombie zone. I’ll rest here and take a day off.
