Author's Leave Request

September 18th. Moderate rain.

The zombie that had called itself the Zombie King was swiftly shot dead by my army. The whole affair went so smoothly that I felt I’d wasted all that time preparing.

It turned out to be a Zombie King in name only, nowhere as formidable as the rumors outside had claimed. In fact, it was merely an ordinary zombie that had developed intelligence and lacked any ability to command other zombies.

What a letdown.

With my ability to control zombies, even this particular one was no exception. It, too, fell under my control.

Just before it died, however, it managed to break free from my control. The way it looked at me was filled with incredulity, as though it couldn’t believe I could exist.

But what it said in its final moments left me somewhat concerned.

What did it mean by saying the Planetary Will would eventually come for me?

Was it merely delirious ravings before death?

Perhaps the director knows something. But after I left the hospital, a massive explosion occurred, and he was nowhere to be found. I have no idea whether he perished in the blast or used it as cover to slip away.

The doctor is busy piecing together the hospital’s surviving documents, hoping to uncover useful intelligence or develop a vaccine for the zombie virus.

I hope the doctor will succeed.

Damn it. Why has a voice suddenly appeared in my head, interfering with my thoughts… Who is it?

HE[1] calls Himself the Planetary Will…

So tired… I can barely keep my eyes open…

No, I can’t pass out… I haven’t written today’s chapter yet…

1. The pronoun used here refers to a divine being. As it may not be clear when “He” is used at the start of a sentence, I will be using “HE” to make it more obvious.
