The crowd’s roar of anger boomed like thunder, surging straight toward the clouds from the ground and startling who knew how many night herons into flight.
The envoy gulped hard. He then watched as the Red General tossed the decree back at him. “Men, take the envoy down and see that he rests properly. Tomorrow, he still has to carry this decree on to Panlong City.”
