The clear resonance of his Sword Cry, in mental harmony with him, reached Leonard’s ears. A faint smile crept across his face as his blade followed its intended path.
Had the Vermilion Bird itself descended into Leonard’s Mindscape? His dark blade, now a deep crimson, radiated scorching heat, incinerating the air and extending outward in a brilliant flash.
