The explosion turned over the land and crimson pillars of flame shot into the air. The flames penetrated the protective walls and stretched in every direction.

Aether moved before I could think. It stretched towards the flames and transformed into a thick barricade that stopped the fire from spreading. The explosion ended, but the chaos continued.

The earth violently shook and shifted beneath us. Everywhere I looked, the ground slithered like a snake. Suddenly, a giant door appeared at the center of the contaminated land. It looked like a rectangular, metallic door.

“Uaah, uuk!”

Yoo Yeonha leaned against me as we swayed back and forth from the earthquake. I created a foothold with aether to stand on. She coughed in embarrassment and turned around as we regained our balance.

“What is that?”

“I have no idea.”

Runic language that I couldn’t understand floated around the mysterious door. They looked rather strange as I carefully studied them.
