Ongoing restructuring and layoffs have taken a heavy toll.
"I'm really sorry, Eun-Ho. Please don’t take it too personally.”
The moment the company delivered the news, it felt as though the sky itself had fallen. The world he knew was on the brink of shattering.
[Earth has been approved for sale.]
[Restructuring will follow.]
This restructuring is a matter of life and death. There are trials that, if cleared, will grant extraordinary powers. If this is some sort of miraculous joke, he’s ready to give it everything he’s got.
"I’ve found it. A way for all of us to survive."
And so begins the rapid rise of the restructuring subject!

Okay so i've read a bit of the manhwa so i'm a bit ahead of just the 8 chapters released. This novel could totally be slop, but i will continue reading it and will change my review if it truly becomes bad. But for now i think it's interesting enough, so give it a try if it seems like it might be up your alley

I'm giving it a thumbs up because it's been a while since i read apocalypse/dystopian setting with a system that doesn't involve tower, regression, or reincarnation, and i found the premise new and interesting. The whole apocalypse setting with trials isn't anything new, but i found the concept of it being a company amusing. The author must've previously struggled with the corporate world lol.

The only thing that's kinda weird for now is that the MC comes off almost as a bit unrealistic in that he is too calm and collected and his degree of preparedness, analysis, and attention to detail can come off as too much. It *almost* seems like he just knows what will happen next on the first trials, even if he's backed by logic. He does have a backstory that partially explains it though. I wouldn't say anyone who's been through what he has would be just like him, but it's still somewhat in the realm of possibility. Either way it's not enough for it put me off it.

Edit Chapter 20

First things first, I've moved passed where i stoped the manhwa and I am only going to read the novel moving forward.

This novel use the trope similar to those constellation novels (like ORV), sending their emotions, thoughts, and wants constantly. Subjects can also receive gifts. It's feeling like a dungeon crawl, but instead of dungeons, there are projects and assessments with your superiors watching over your every move lmao.

That said, this doesn't seem to be the kind of novel to read with your brain turned on to the max. I feel like this novel will only work for you if you go into it just for the fun of it and to see what kind of antics the characters go through. Speaking of characters, it seems the author is trying to put some humor in the novel, though i think it's falling a bit flat for now.

I have some other gripes, but most of them relate with inconsistencies that may not actually be inconsistencies. They for sure can be addressed as we understand more of the system and the Company and the supervisors(?) and upper-management relationship.

My experience with this novel so far has been mostly frustrating. While the premise has potential, the execution relies far too heavily on convenience and plot armor, which kills most of the tension.

The MC is constantly given perfectly timed items right before he needs them. A lightning weapon for ghosts, healing honey for an instant “revival,” poison stakes he uses to cheese a trap, and immediately gets armor for a hard fall. The pattern is always the same: get item, face matching problem, win easily. Once used, the item conveniently becomes irrelevant. This happens so often that challenges feel pre-solved.

Because of this, the MC's struggles feel artificial.

Character development is weak across the board. Most side characters exist only to support the MC. The love interest feels forced and inconsistent with her earlier mental growth, acting like a stereotypical shy heroine for no real reason. The “barbarian” third wheel is reduced to a loyal yes-man with no real personality.

Even when real difficulty is teased, the story backs away. A promised free-for-all turns into safe monster farming, removing any real stakes. The administrators also feel incompetent and inconsistent, especially compared to other admins in similar tropes.

By chapter 36, the MC is already fighting semi-admins with little buildup. His sudden jump from unknown disabled athlete to top-tier strategist feels unearned.

Overall, this novel relies too much on convenience and shortcuts. The foundation is interesting, but excessive plot armor and weak character writing make it hard to stay invested.

Both @Dao Gu and @Prty0 have very accurate reviews, about the main issues and positives.

To be very clear, this is a popcorn novel, don't think too much while reading, just use it for entertainment.

Review as of chapter 28:

The translations good, but the story is very generic.

Some of the key traits are:

-ORV (Omniscient reader's viewpoint) plot with the constellations, donations and streams to higher planes of existence, everybody has a system panel, trials, similar to the tower system genre but just without the tower itself.

-"Smart mc" but the mc just does what a rational person would do, he makes good decisions, but everyone glazes him way out of proportion, with the deities treating him like a once in a generation miracle, it's the issue with writing a character smarter than oneself.

Also in combat scenes,

The author tries to force plot devices to introduce new char's and abilities, instead of having the mc just kill them instantly when he can and intends to.

The Mc becomes OP very fast and get's abilities with strong long term potential (still op early-game) very early and quite easily.

One of the few unique things about the novel was that the mc was disabled,

Which lasted a grand total of 2 chapters before it was instantly cured.

The author tries to make this relevant later on, but it was really dissappinting how it instantly gets cured, when it could have been a grand objective early on.

The next point is a Spoiler.

Spoiler.

Spoiler.

The mc and his friends are never in any actual danger, the author gives the mc the perfect item to solve the issue in the chapter prior, every single time.
