Information about the Broken Realms was stored in the Willbound Expanse, compiled into a book called the Forbidden Tome.0

The book’s cover only featured a single character, “forbidden,” which was its eponymous title. The tome documented over a hundred Broken Realms that had been confirmed to be dangerous throughout countless years of the conscients’ explorations. Most of the recorded Broken Realms could not be given a clear level of danger, due to the fact that no one was willing to test them. Those that were documented were often investigated by chasing cultivators from the Spirit Nidus into them. Those individuals were then used as references to measure a Broken Realm’s level of danger.0

Additionally, the fact that Broken Realms drifted about made it extremely difficult to locate them. Still, there were some Broken Realms that had been thoroughly studied.0

The Broken Realm that Hu Wu and Tian Ya had described happened to be one that had been studied. Within it, there was a creature which wielded a bamboo sword and was strong enough to threaten even the Thirteen Luminaries.
