"Will she ever return?" The Supreme Marshal's voice trembled with the question.
"Definitely! You're the father of an Immortal; she'll surely come back to see you," Yun Xiao assured. He had made up his mind. He would seek out other incarnations of transcending calamity. His story with Chen Xi had ended too abruptly; there was still so much left unfinished. This was also a way to give the Supreme Marshal some closure.
The Supreme Marshal slightly relaxed upon hearing Yun Xiao's confident reply, but his eyes reddened. He stared blankly at the dragon throne, lost in thought.
