This could also be seen in university exams, as a person who lacked the capacity to achieve a high score probably wouldn’t succeed even after re-taking the test for five or ten years. However, an adept and knowledgeable test taker would be able to score high on their initial attempt and possibly obtain first place. The reality was that people had vast differences between them, whether that be in inherent gifts and skills or the effort they put into their craft.
