“They’re on a different level,” Ivic muttered unconsciously as he stood atop the Formeri’s mast.
He had already said this same thing a few times now, and he thought it even more often than he had voiced it.
The main ship of the Slad Mercenary Company, the Formeri, was sticking close to the Laversia’s rear. Currently, the priests were standing in a circle on the ship’s deck, focusing their divine power on Kristina, while the paladins, including Paladin Adol, were protecting the priests. But their numbers alone weren’t enough to guarantee the priests’ protection.
Even a child would know how important the role of a priest was in a battle against a Demon King and the demonfolk who served them. Dozens of elite Slad mercenaries had remained on the Formeri to aid in protecting the priests while all the other troops had gathered on the Laversia.
