The axe pierced deeply into the minotaur's chest. Its ribs shattered apart, producing a sharp, cracking noise.
The axe’s edge must have punctured its lungs because the minotaur couldn’t even manage a proper scream. A raspy, labored breath escaped its throat, and air hissed out from its half-open chest.
