USAW Book 4 Chapter 407 & Brief Hiatus

Chapter 407: Blue-eyes Wyrm

Hello everyone,

I wanted to avoid a hiatus, but it seems inevitable at this point.

In order to focus on my finals, I’ll be pausing translations until the 15th of this month.

Thanks for understanding,

Deceptioning

  1. I’m confused, has school changed in the last few decades? Do teachers not teach what is coming in the tests? Granted, it’s been a while, but when I was in school, all I really had to do was pay attention in class.
I only had to quickly go over a couple thing I might be fuzzy on, not kill myself studying for tests or finals.
Could someone enlighten me? Then maybe I can be more understanding.

    1. Idk what kind of school you went to, but even in most high schools, let alone college, you really cover a lot of material each semester, that coupled with a highly competitive environment means you should really be spending a lot more time than just skimming over notes. So yeah, hope you’re less confused but I think he has a perfectly reasonable excuse to take a brief hiatus.

    2. If you’re going to college, the expectation is that you spend about an hour of self-study (homework, research, exercises, reviewing old tests) for every hour in the classroom itself. If you’re going for a bachelor’s in STEM or you partied a bit too hard during school and have gaps in your education it can require as much as two hours outside per hour in the classroom.

  2. Good luck Deceptioning. Honestly surprised you toughed it out as long as you did before deciding on this- your finals only come around once a year, while translating can be done any time.
