The sages said, read ISSTH Book 1, Chapter 32!

I Shall Seal the Heavens

Dear readers of “I Shall Seal the Heavens,”

This story sucks. The MC is ridiculously OP. He’s a wimpy scholar who gets lucky and has no actual talent whatsoever. It’s not even worth reading! What a loser. If you know what’s good for you, stop reading NOW! Go read Adventures of My Little Pony, Franklin the Turtle, or really anything else that doesn’t SUCK.

Sincerely,
Wang Tengfei

Chapter 32: Spoilers! View End of Chapter for Chapter Title.

I think maybe my question in the last chapter release wasn’t clear. Some chapter titles contain spoilers of what happens in that chapter. So, in the official chapter release (not the sneak peak), should I withhold those chapter titles? Check out today’s release as an example, and if you haven’t already, please participate in the poll.

  1. and death please don’t fall prey to the evil spoiler terrorists. If something as small as a title can spoil it. They didn’t like the story to begin with

    1. Ahhhh. Fixed. It seems no matter how carefully I double check everything before posting, I always do something like this. haha. Argghh

  2. Thanks for the chapter.
I voted no the first time because I thought it was only in the preview that it would be hidden but if it is shown only at the end of the chapter then I wouldn’t mind if you hide the title.

  3. If you think about it, the original should have had the title as well, so I don’t mind leaving it the way the author intended.
However, can we not also see the poll results?

    1. I guess I set it so that voters can’t see the results and I can’t change it now. I’ll take a screenshot and post the results tomorrow.

  4. Actually, the problem I have with the MC right now is not so much that he is overpowered but that his Bag of Holding is overpowered. It seems like a foregone conclusion that he would get killed by WTF, except that he has an infinite amount of flying swords and demon cores in his bag.

It’s like a variation on MC Plot Armour… MC Bag of Weapons and Pots…

  5. Fufufu nice introduction fitting for Wang Tengfei… Well done Deathblade, and thanks for translating ISSTH… also some of the pictures in the previews are really great 😉 Keep up the good work and stay healthy!

  6. I’m curious about the poll results but I can’t seem to find the “show results” button. I voted “No” cuz if the author saw fit give the chapter a title that somewhat spoils the same chapter, I think there is no need to worry further. It’s not that big of a spoiler. Also, chapter titles are supposed to have some relation to the chapter. Some authors give really weird and almost completely unrelated titles. I think those titles should be hidden just to give some peace of mind to rational readers 😛

  7. i’ve heard that the chinese tend to have terrible naming sense.
titles will often be the most obvious you could think of when reading a chapter or poem or song.
it’s not just a bad joke, i was told this by a chinese girl i know once, when she was reading the lyrics of a song to me (i just wanted to know the pronunciation), and after a few lines suddenly pointed at a word and said “that’s the title” (i really had forgotten to add the title).

if a chapter title is a spoiler, i really don’t mind it being placed at the end of the chapter instead of the beginning. it’s not like one spoiler-ish chapter title can ruin a whole series though, unless it’s added to the chapter index. it’s so boring when i can read through the index and know everything that will happen in a book before i even read it.
