Learn of the Dao of Alchemy! Read ISSTH Chapter 282!

Ughhh…. Baby Deathblade was NOT interested in sleeping last night. I need more coffee. By the way, it was brought to my attention that I interchanged “furnace” and “cauldron” in multiple places in the past few chapters. I fixed some of the instances, and will go fix more after releasing this chapter. One of the main reasons is that in Chinese, the “measure word” that Er Gen uses for furnace is cauldron. Combine that with Pill Cauldron’s moniker, and it was a recipe for confusion. Sorry about that, and just to be clear, the objects used for concocting pills are pill furnaces, not pill cauldrons.

    1. Pill are cooked in furnaces, not sure about cauldrons. And yea… my mental image between cauldron and furnace is a little blurry too. I just try to distinguish them by “furnace” and “cauldron.” And maybe add a couple of holes here and there on the surface of furnaces for waste to come out or something.

        1. arc starts in ch210 I think, if you don’t wanna read the 5 “prologue” chapters to the arc. And correct me if i’m wrong, but I don’t think the detailed physical appearance of pill furnaces was ever described. So if you’re rereading just for that, probably not worth it… unless you just wanna enjoy the whole arc again, the go nuts, starting with ch210 🙂

And if you haven’t already, google “Chinese furnace” and/or “Chinese cauldron” for images.

          1. cauldron is mainly used to place joss stick
while furnace is used for cooking
            some kind of old-age oven
            *above is purely hypothesis

you really live up to your name obsession

  1. Thanks for the chapter!!! and the dedication to you take toward corrections and clarifications!!! Hopefully BD would let you sleep soon, and thanks for the interesting info on Chinese classifier.

  2. Teach him a cultivation technique to tire him out. Then if that doesn’t work, you could always try reading him ISSTH . Maybe the memories of another life shall resurface, one where mortals could only look above while wooden swords dance over his head.

BTW, we finally figured it out why Dr. Who was there. It’s because BD used to own a time sword.
