ISSTH Chapter 303 ☯

Chronicles of Baby Deathblade: Madam Deathblade and I plan to raise the little tike speaking both English and Mandarin. Today I was explaining this to him in Chinese. I said, “You know, there are two languages, Chinese and English, both of which you need to learn!” His response was to give a wide smile and then roll his eyes. OMG. I thought he wasn’t going to start rolling his eyes at my words of wisdom until he was at least a preteen!!!

  1. Thanks for the chapter!

Hope you’re planning on teaching the languages one at a time (could cause language confusion otherwise). We were advised to only speak one language with our daughter for the first two years, and could thereafter add a language per year (but we’ll probably only add one for now)

    1. And to be sure to speak in both languages until they’re a teen at least. I lost one of my chinese languages and almost lost the second one because nobody here speaks it when I moved here -_-

  2. Ahh yes, BD is growing up so fast physically, and mentally. And since he’d mastered the art of one-eyebrow lift without your tutelage**, his self-confidence, arrogance, and pride rose to the heavens, caused him rolled his eyes… because he knew, that learning new languages would be a piece of cake…. Yummm, cakes..***BD drools***

**seriously though, can you do it? Cuz I sure can’t, even after trying to do it for a week.

  3. Poor kid, learning the two hardest to learn languages from the get go, especially since they have absolutely nothing in common with each other. Well, if I remember right, he should have a MUCH easier time learning any new languages when he’s older then since his brain will end up being wired in a way that makes learning languages easier after you finish teaching him.

  4. thank you DB and the rest of the team, you guys are amazing… in absence of CD, this novels rules now (even though i like MGA a tid bit more, but consistency has amazed me and i enjoy ISSTH as much)..
this team is amazing, keep being awesome guys…..
