Chapter 169 Sacrifice! Wu Yuehan! (3)

At last, no one knew how many times they had reached the peak of bliss, but at last, the two of them slowly fell into the depths of slumber, still intertwined in an embrace.

At Zhou Weiqing’s chest area, a ball of gentle light rose slowly all the way up to his forehead before disappearing. At last, the entire area fell into a dead silence.

At this moment, a powerful ray of Light Attribute Energy suddenly descended from the skies, pushing Zhou Weiqing to the side and enveloping Little Witch’s body. At the same time, a long robe floated down, covering her naked body.

Only then did Long Big Fatty appear from outside the smoke. Naturally, it was his Light Attribute Healing Skills that fell upon Wu Yuehan, not holding back as he helped to heal her wounds and renourish her exhausted body. As he did so, there was a forced smile on his face. Up until now, he still did not know how he could compensate this young lady in front of him.

With the healing and aid of such powerful Light Attribute Healing Skills, it wasn’t long before Little Witch opened her eyes. No longer affected by the strange scent and aura that Zhou Weiqing previously had, she quickly regained full consciousness and awareness.

The first thing Little Witch felt was the the warm and comfortable Light Attribute Heavenly Energy enveloping her entire body. As a Life Attribute Heavenly Jewel Master, the Heavenly Energy Attribute that they liked the most was definitely the Light Attribute, although the Demonic Attribute in her body was suppressed by the Light Attribute.

A feeling of heaviness soon followed, as if her limbs had been injected by lead, and even lifting her arm seemed so difficult. She felt like all the strength and energy had been drained out of her body.

As compared to the sheer fatigue and weakness in her physical body, her Heavenly Energy was a stark contrast. Little Witch was astonished to find that her Heavenly Energy was actually full and bountiful. More so, she had somehow actually broken through to the seven-Jeweled stage without knowing when!

Contrary to her expectations, her bottom was not hurting, instead feeling numb. After all, after an entire day and night, no matter how tough and flexible her body was, a young maiden like herself with no prior experience being sent to the peak over and over… it undoubtedly was a huge toll on her body.

Long Shiya looked at her with an apologetic expression on his face as he said: “Little girl, I’m sorry. If i did not do this, my disciple would have gone crazy and died. At that time, even if it were a female pig, I would have brought it back for him, but it is your misfortune that I stumbled across you at that particular time. Do you have any requests? As long as I can do it, I will fulfil any requests you have.”

Little Witch’s eyes were a little hollow, empty. Even though the entire ‘sacrifice’ process she did not feel any pain, in fact giving her a previously unknown, marvelous feeling, but she had lost her most precious virtue against her will after all! To any girl, this was a blow far worse than anything, perhaps even more than her own life itself.

Long Shiya’s mouth twitched slightly as he looked on helplessly. Finally, he waved his hand, and Zhou Weiqing, who had been lying at the side, was dragged into his hands. Currently, Zhou Weiqing had lost that purple hue, and the wings behind his back had disappeared into his body, and he had finally resumed his normal look and features. Of course, all of his hair that had been burnt away in the magma could not be regrown so quickly, and his features did contain some differences from his previous look. At this moment, his eyes were closed, sleeping peacefully with a satisfied look on his face.

“How about this, little lady, I have a proposition for you and you can see whether or not you want to accept it. Anyway, this little brat has already taken your body, how about you make do with him and marry him. If you want to take revenge for that one day and night and how roughly he treated you, you have a lifetime ahead of you to do so.”

Throughout his entire long life, Long Shiya had stood upright on his legs between heaven and earth, upstanding and dauntless, and though he might do things according to his own likes and dislikes, he could hold his head up high and say he had never done anything against his conscience. However, this time, catching Little Witch as a Sacrifice for Zhou Weiqing, he had been torn by both anxiety and worry and his conscience. Now that all of it was over, he felt an unprecedented apologetic feeling towards this young lady.

Subconsciously, Little Witch raised her head. As she slowly calmed down, she knew that she could not seek death so easily. After all, the entire Heavenly Demon Sect only had her as a direct bloodline heir. If she died like that, who would be able to inherit the Heavenly Demon Sect and help direct it… to help it grow? Furthermore, she had so many things left undone. She started to look up, wanting to see this man who had stolen her virtue, to see what he looked like, and remember that image. Since he had already taken her body, perhaps what this Heavenly Emperor powerhouse said was true, and it would not be a bad thing to marry his disciple. Feelings aside, at least it would bring a strong and powerful Heavenly Emperor ally to the Heavenly Demon Sect.

As she thought about all that, Little Witch’s tears couldn’t help but stream down her cheeks uncontrollable. However, when she slowly raised her head once more to look upon that man, and that familiar face entered her eyes, in that instant, her eyes widened fully.

“What?!” Despite still feeling weak and feeble, Little Witch sat up fully upright instantly, her eyes filled with disbelief as her lips trembled violently in sheer shock.

“Errr….” Long Shiya looked at Little Witch, then looked back at his precious disciple, a helpless look on his face as he said: “As the saying goes, if one marries a chicken, one should follow the chicken; if one marries a dog, then one should follow the dog 1. My disciple might not be the most handsome or suave, but you two already have that connection… so, perhaps you can make do with him?”

Long Big Fatty had also thought things through rather clearly. Only by bringing his precious disciple and this little young lady from the Heavenly Demon Sect together could the knot in his heart be eased. Although his disciple had done wrong to her, but at least if he took responsibility for it, then he wouldn’t feel as guilty.

“Zhou… Zhou Weiqing?!” Little Witch’s voice was filled with uncertainty. If a second ago, she had been filled with despair and hopelessness in her future, with all her negative emotions buried deep within her heart with a mask… then now, in this very instant, powerful fires of hope sprang forth. She had never thought that this man who had forcefully stolen her virtue would actually… actually be … him. If… If she had to be forced to make a choice of a man in this world, then our dear Zhou Little Fatty would definitely be the first choice. Currently, Little Witch felt as if the heavens had played a cruel joke on her… first letting her lose her most precious virtue, turning everything into a living hell for her, before springing such a strong hope on her once more, as if the sheer agony she was in wasn’t as bad as she thought after all.

“Oh?! You… you know him?” This time, it was Long Shiya’s turn to be surprised.

A ray green light lit up brightly. It was Little Witch, using her Life Attribute Skills to heal herself, even as she eyed Zhou Weiqing, who was being supported by Long Shiya… a complicated look on her face as her heart was mired with a myriad confused thoughts.

It was… How could it be him? Since when did he have a Heavenly Emperor powerhouse as teacher? More so… what was he doing here? How did they all end up like this? This is too much of a coincidence?! Thinking back to their entire day and night of embarrassing joining, Little Witch’s pale face turned beet red instantly. At the same time, she couldn’t help but think to herself: Thank the heavens… in such a terrible scenario of pain and suffering, at least this is the best possible outcome already.

Slowly supporting herself as she stood up shakily, Little Witch nodded her head lightly. “Indeed, Senior, I know him. We are actually friends. I… I….”

Speaking up to this point, Little Witch’s eyes reddened. No matter what, she had been forced against her will to lose her most precious virtue, and more so, so abruptly… so out of the blue!

Long Shiya started momentarily. “Recognize? You recognize that little brat? That is great, even better than I thought! What a great coincidence! Heh heh, then… can I consider it as you being relatively voluntary in helping out rather than me forcing you? After all, this old man has not done anything against my conscience all my life, sigh… this time, for that damn little brat’s sake, I have…” As he said that, he rubbed his hands together, a rather embarrassed look on his face.

How intelligent was Little Witch. She immediately understood what Long Shiya meant from his words, and she couldn’t help but look at him scornfully in her heart momentarily. However, as her consciousness fully awakened and she knew that the man who had stolen her virtue was actually Zhou Weiqing, she was now extremely clear-headed.

At this point, what was the point of crying or causing a commotion? The only true thing to do now was to find a way to gain the most. That fellow Zhou Weiqing did not just have a single woman!

“Senior…” Wu Yuehan said grievously: “This is too much of a coincidence. Sigh… yes, I am willing. If I knew it was him beforehand, could I possibly leave him in the lurch and watch him die?”

Long Shiya was delighted. He had not expected that Wu Yuehan would be so understanding and considerate. In fact, looking at how she was now, it seemed like she had some feelings for his precious disciple, and he couldn’t help but heave an internal sigh of relief, thinking to himself: Such luck! Heh heh! What a good girl indeed! “Don’t worry, I know about your circumstance, and you have given your most precious body to this little brat. If he dares not want you, I will beat him all his skin off! Don’t worry, I will make sure that this little brat marries you. Oh right, child, I still do not know your name.”

Little Witch lowered his head and said: “This Junior is Wu Yuehan.”

Long Shiya nodded repeatedly and said: “Very good, in that case, you might as well not leave. When that little brat wakes up, I’ll make the decision for you two.”

“No… no need, Senior.” Little Witch quickly looked up, a complicated look in her eyes as she said: “Senior, I do not want to meet him under such a circumstance. Please do not force him, after all it was just to save his life. He originally never liked me. Please can I trouble you to send me back?”

“What like or dislike. Hmph. He has already taken your body, and you are willing to let it go like that? Child, do not worry, in this matter, this old man will settle it for you. You are from the Heavenly Demon Sect right, later on I will bring that little brat and personally go to your Heavenly Demon Sect to propose marriage.”

Wu Yuehan was delighted in her heart, looking at Long Shiya with a face full of hope. “Senior, is that for real?”

Long Shiya thumped his own chest steadily and said: “Since when have I, Long Shiya, told any lie. However, I must first tell you that this little brat is a don juan in his own right, and I’m afraid you will not be his only woman.”

Wu Yuehan gave a bitter smile and said: “How can I not know that? As long as he still has a place for me in his heart in the future, I will be satisfied. Senior, can you please send me back now?”

“You still want to leave now?” Long Shiya started momentarily.

Wu Yuehan flushed deeply and said: “I truly do not want to meet him under such circumstances. I need to calm down and think through things. Senior, can you please tell me where I can find him in the future?”

Long Shiya sighed. He was not familiar with what had exactly gone on between Zhou Weiqing and Little Witch before this, and subconsciously he thought it was this current situation and that the shade in her heart from this incident was still deep in her mind, and time was needed for her to process it. As such, he nodded to her and said: “You change your clothes first, and I will send you back.”

  1. A very awkward direct translation of an old chinese idiom, basically means to persuade a girl to be content with her husband no matter what his lot is

  1. Ty for the chapter.

And here we have one of the moments where i dislike big fatty. He doesnt know about little fatty’s grudge against the demon sect yet he makes a (in my eyes stupid) promise on little fatty’s behalf. In case anyone wonders what grudge i am talking about: they where hiding in the country that destroyed his homeland as well as trying to force him to become part of the sect by force.

Love the story and the characters, yet i don’t always agree with the actions they take.

      1. At the time of the invasion of his home country the main body of the sect was hiding in the empire that invaded. They have agents in other countrys yes. Yet the biggest part of the sect was hiding in that one perticular empire little fatty doesnt like very much now.(can’t for the life of me remember all the names =_=)

        1. ZW is very opportunistic however. It doesn’t seem like HDS took part in the invasion of his country so he could use his relationship with Little Witch to try and pull them to his side and weaken the enemy. Maybe promise them an officially recognized place in the Heavenly Bow Empire unlike how they are now being forced to hide all over the place. With ZW’s relationship with the two strongest Saint Lands, they might finally recognize the Heavenly Demon Sect as a legitimate Saint Land.

          1. Yes. That is also a possibility. The thing is that HDS is one of the Great Lands that can help ZW in the war. I doubt that Heaven’s Expanse or the Heavenly Snow Moutain will help him in that matter.

Just think how awesome if the Snow Mountain Lord, a fu**ing 12 Jewelled Heavenly Jewel Master took part in the retake of the Heavenly Bow Empire? Damn, he’ll just passsing by the armies smashing them into smitherees.

  2. I need to say that the last few chapters bothered me. All this rape thing being embellished with stuff as “if she knew it was him” or “she had pleasure doing it” are just trying to justify something that is just one of the worst things that can happen to a woman. All this just because he is the MC and needs to have his haren bigger at all circunstances.
The first time with Bing’er was not so bad, since was fast and none of them were at fault, cause it was almost an accident, but now you even had a powerhouse helping him, so it was just a do or die thing.

    1. How about you stop comparing real life’s standards with this novel’s world’s standards? Yes, rape is bad, but in that world you can do anything if you have the strength to back it up. They kill people left and right, torture them, kidnap them, “oh but god forbid they rape someone” just stop being ignorant already. We don’t leave in a world where the strong eat the weak, so stop comparing real life with the novels’ worlds.

      1. Even though having enough strength lets you do whatever you want, even LN acknowledge that it is not right. And you may not be aware but even in the real world, it is a dog eat dog situation behind the scenes. There are corrupt politicians who let their children do whatever they want, there is sex trafficking where people’s daughters/sisters/loved ones etc. are taken to become toys for those who pay to support it. You have no idea how many people are killed every day. Gangs also exist in this world, they will kill people from rival gangs and also others. So how about you stop making it sound like “oh she got raped; cool plot section, now lets keep going because it is normal” because even if it is, rape is one of the worst things that could ever happen to a woman (sometimes a man/boy)

        1. I don’t make it seem like a cool plot section because I honestly couldn’t care less about rape on a ficticious story.
Yes, real life does have dog eats dog situations, but they are way too far from the novels’ dog eats dog situations. Can people in real life receive a power up from an inheritance they found while exploring the world? Can we get stronger as we train our body and soul and be able to receive a shot from a gun without being hurt? No, we can’t. The type of authority in real life is completely different from the type of authority in the novels. In real life people have an authority that is extremely inconsistent because it comes from money, and when s**t happens with economy literally anyone can kill those with authority.
In the novels’ worlds there are times where someone directly kills hundreds of thousands of people and they are not frowned upon because they had the strength to do so. Can we say the same about real life? No, that person and those involved with the massacre would be hunted down by the rest of the world.
People are comparing a ficticious world, where some extremelly powerful creature can just appear out of nowhere in a town and desolate it, with real life, where at least half of humanity can live in the comfort of their homes with internet, food, water, etc. and not have to worry about an extremelly powerfull being going around killing people. Doing said comparison and trying to say what was the best situation that should have happened on the basis of real life’s society and its standards is just wrong.

    2. This is one thing I also dislike about LNs. When there is a rape situation, if it is the MC then the situation is turned into something good for the female and she usually falls for him and like you said; the situation is embellished. Not just in this LN but in others as well. That is why I have an issue with the few harems I have read. The majority of the ones I read have rape and then the raped one joins the Harem as if she could not be happier.
So I have actually dropped a few LNs as soon as I got to the rape scene. This and BTTH are the only ones which I have read with rape and not dropped. I still have unhappy feelings towards the rape. In BTTH there was one, then after Bing’er was taken it started to seem like he would not need it again. Then this came. Since he is the only person to have “2 awakenings” of the demon element we cannot really say that he did not need it however after the first time it really did feel that it did not need to happen ever again.
So I am going to have very mixed feelings when I continue

      1. The interesting situational part of HJC is the fact it’s an experimental novel for the author. His other novels actually have a sweet, deep romance in a xianxia genre. Such as UTS and Douluo Dalu. There’s even a xianxia cooking novel with romance as a focus that the author made as well.

It’s probably due to those books that the rape is a lot more tolerable as well.

Since it’s an experimental novel for the author to test himself on how salvageable he can write controversial topics like rape. He would appreciate the reader’s feedback and reaction towards how he did cimpared to other novels that uses the subject. Such as ATG, BTTH, WDQK, MGA and Hidden Marriage.

My feedback was how well the contrast that Wu has for her maiden side vs her sect’s view on sacrifice. Her reaction that it went past her bottom line, until she know that it was her love interest and at the same time regret on how the circumstances came to be.

    3. You guys are turning this into a thing bigger than really is. There was often written “might is right”. The powelfull do whats he please. But yes, it’s kinda forcefull say that the female feels pleasure from the rape.

      1. If you think this is turning into a bigger thing than it really is then you should read MGA’s comments on one of the rapes that happened. I’ve never seen so many people go ape s**t on a novel even though the 2 girls the MC raped had tried to kill him countless times and one even put a special bug inside him once to eat his soul and turn him into a puppet while the insect eats the rest of his insides. Those girls actually deserved what they got and people were unhappy with it, go figure.

      2. As a girl myself, that’ll be true for a regular human female. But don’t forget her bloodline of demonic transformation. It was her base instinct and how the body is built for demonic transformation. Along with the culture plus political part of being with someone with a higher bloodline.

Especially how we can compare this to a bloodline organization in the novel WMW.

        1. Actually, it’s a fact that a regular female can (not will, but can) physically enjoy rape even when she’s mentally unwilling… it doesn’t change or excuse the act of rape as a humanitarian offence… but the author’s words on the pleasure experienced is based on fact.

          1. I thought I didn’t used a solid word such as ‘true’ in my post and thought it I put ‘could’. That’s what I get for posting late at night during my break in overtime.

‘Can’ is also a good word. It’s rather embarrassing to go into the details on how it can be pleasurable to just painful. It’s a matter of the person’s body and the amount of foreplay involved. So yeah let’s leave it as ‘can’ for regular human females.

    4. It wasn’t justifying but instead a depressing self consulation that she’s giving herself. I’m not sure how you even read it that way when the wording implies the following:

She was contemplating suicide while weighing her responsibilities.

The fact it was her love interest helps but her monologue describes her pain of how she wanted the situation be differen’t. The current situation went below the bottom line to somewhat above the bottom line. But it isn’t close to her middle and top line either.

As for pleasure the book describe how she regreted her instinctual bloodline for feeling that way.

As for the end of the chapter her conviction + resolve is at 70% political and 30% feelings.

Just like the female lead, it’ll take Wu plenty of chapters to sort her feelings have have time to heal the pain. It took the female lead actual arcs to pass by and fully heal the wounds. While finally put her feelings for 110% love and dere. Don’t forget the MC also took considerable effort to fix those mistakes.

The other novels will try to justify but this one shows the effects and pain the character faces. Along woth the realistic time to get over it. At least this time, Wu has her resolve on politics, considering ZW’s feelings and put her own emotions last. So it’ll be interesting how herself and MC will do to slowly solve it and have it be water under the bridge.

  3. Of all the ways that marriage could have happened, why did they have to do it this way? It was one thing when Bing’er just happened to be beside him when he first started so he felt really bad about it and started liking her because of her character afterwards but she was thrown in and now he is forced to marry her. I wouldn’t say forced if she was a bit less willing but she’s acting like she just got a great deal and if I recall were they really friends because iirc he dismissed her entirely after she chose not to help him save that dragon and nothing ever came out of it.
    Thanks for the chapter! 😀

    1. He dismissed her but she felt bad for acting like that because she actually started to like him.
How could she not be happy with marrying him? Having him partially join the Heavenly Demon Sect by marriage means it has a chance to grow stronger in the future, specially because he is a first gen demonic attribute. Zhou Weiqing will get angry at his teacher, but it’s because of that exact same teacher that he won’t have to submit to the HDS and that’s pretty much the only reason why he didn’t want to join it before.

      1. ZW will not join the HDS. He’ll at maximum be their friends. I think their relationship will be like ZW’s relationship with the Heaven’s Expanse Palace. Being something like ‘friends’. Eventually when ZW get stronger, maybe he’ll provide some help.

  4. I sympathize with Little Witch, glad things will work out in the end and that she was here to help him but sad things had to go this particular way for her. That said, reading the comments there’s one thing that’s not being talked about that I find rather hypocritical and ironic: Everyone is taking her side (and let’s face it she was truly innocent compared to Bing’er because unlike Bing’er she had no choice in the matter) which is fine, however nobody has seemed to think about the mc. He was raped just as much as Little Witch as he also had absolutely no choice in the matter and it doesn’t seem that way just because he’s stronger and the dominant figure here. Not only did his bloodlines take his free will away from him to make that choice, but he didn’t even have the option to self implode or anything because his master came to offer the sacrifice. Ultimately they’re both victims, but hey good thing it’s fiction and love this story, looking forward to how things go from here, especially excited about his new form!
