Fellow Daoists, please read ISSTH Book 1, Chapter 44!

I’m going to take a break from my usual chapter intros for this release. There’s no action here whatsoever, but it’s actually one of my favorite chapters. It, along with the following chapter or two, really make Meng Hao more real to me. I’m betting there will be “wow, so boring” comments, or perhaps an actual LACK of comments, but I will stick by my opinion. Both in my initial read-through and in subsequent revisions and editing, this chapter just really sticks out for me. I hope that you enjoy the non-action-packed:

Chapter 44: The North Sea Reveals the Dao!
Translated by Deathblade
Contributing Editor: Madam Deathblade
Proofreaders: Lingson, laoren and MeeBoo

The sages would like to thank AM of Pearl for your generous donation! Your karmic reward will be great indeed!

Also, thank you everyone for your comments! I read them all, and very much enjoy all of them, including the thank yous, the questions, the speculations… everything. Sometimes I wish I could respond to the speculations with comments like, “wow, how did you guess that?” or “you have no idea how wrong you are.” But of course, no spoilers!

  1. Thank you DeathBlade. Even though I never commented ,I really enjoy your intros and your work. This story is great! Definetely one of my favorites right now.

  2. Hey, character-building chapters are important! If every chapter was pure action, it would get tedious after a while. I like this story because of, well, the STORY.

So with that, thanks for the boring chapter! I bet it’ll suck 😛
