Chapter 748 – Lightless Eternal Night, Yellow Springs Ashes

Under the blue ocean, Yun Che could feel that Fen Juechen had stopped sinking. Even though he was seriously wounded, the aura on him was still expanding with surprising speed… In the blink of an eye, he had actually surpassed the peak status of the profound strength he had before, and was continuing to increase with extreme speed.

At the same time, an extremely gloomy, suppressed aura spread through heaven and earth silently, as if a terrifying storm that could end the world was quietly brewing.

Yun Che’s eyebrows also tightened more and more. Of the two strikes that hit Fen Juechen before, the first strike smashed all of the bones on his chest, and the strength of the second strike destroyed his whole body. If it was someone else, that person would’ve died instantly. Even though Fen Juechen was seriously injured, it wasn’t enough to kill him. However, when he was knocked into the ocean, his vitality and the aura of his profound energy became incredibly weak… But it was at this moment, an unusual burst of power appeared.

Could it be… under his unwillingness, he triggered some kind of forbidden power?

As Yun Che was surprised by it, the ocean region below him suddenly became all pitch-black… this severe change did not happen gradually, instead, it happened in an instant. As far as the eyes could see, the huge blue ocean region had become black, a thick ink-like black. Before Yun Che could react, the world before his eyes also became pitch-black all of a sudden, and he could not see any trace of light anymore.

Hundred of kilometers away, Feng Xue’er brought Xiao Lingxi and flew to the edge of the ocean region. Just as their bodies passed the edge of the ocean coast, a pitch-black world appeared before them.

“Ah!!” Feng Xue’er and Xiao Lingxi both exclaimed at the same time.

This pitch-black world was a couple hundred kilometers away, but it was as if it was right before their eyes. The region that was covered by the dark night was like a black hole that was carved into the world. The things within it were all completely swallowed, disappeared, and turned into nothingness.

A gloomy, irritating emotion shrouded Feng Xue’er’s mind and soul. She immediately became alert, and used the Phoenix profound energy to protect her heart. At the same time she transferred a large amount of energy to protect Xiao Lingxi. This pitch-black color overflowed with power which possessed an aura more terrifying than anything Feng Xue’er had ever seen. The unsettling feeling she felt increased more than ten times. She held Xiao Lingxi tight with her arms and said hastily, “Let us hurry.”

Before her anxious voice faded, Feng Xue’er’s whole body burned with Phoenix flames, her flying speed increased suddenly as they rushed towards the pitch-black regions like a Phoenix resurrected in fire.

Yun Che’s surroundings had become a field of darkness. Moreover, it wasn’t just normal darkness due to the absence of light as within the darkness, Yun Che felt as if he had been fallen into a pitch-black swamp as the air surrounding him became viscous and thick. Even simply moving a finger took many times more strength than normal. Countless oppressive, ghastly, ice-cold auras came from all directions and surged into his mind, eroding it. This kind of mind erosion was extremely terrifying. If these auras had entered the minds of others, they would already have corroded those minds with negative emotions, and perhaps even driven those people crazy. However, due to the Dragon God Soul, Yun Che didn’t need to fear these auras for now.

“This ‘Lightless Eternal Night,’ one of the high level domains within the 《Illusory Devil Tome of Eternal Night》!” Jasmine said in a serious tone, “With Fen Juechen’s current ability, he can barely activate it. He might even need to pay an enormous price.”

“Lightless Eternal Night?” Yun Che started to feel countless spooky, bone-piercing aura gush crazily towards him. Slowly, he felt like he seemed to be swallowed into the stomach of a giant monster, and would be digested into nothingness anytime.

“Everything that is covered by this domain will be swallowed whole once they are covered by this domain. Not a single trace would be left… including light!” Jasmine said in a low voice, “Now that this domain has covered an entire seventy five kilometers, even if you used all your strength, you would still unable to forcefully escape from it before it completely devours you… the only thing you can do right now is to forcefully tear it open.”

Even with his spiritual perception, Yun Che was completely unable to perceive the edges of this pitch-black domain, as if it were endless. As his surroundings became increasingly dark and viscous, the range of Yun Che’s spiritual sense continued to decrease, and the amount of effort for each breath doubled. It reached a point where Yun Che began to feel a trace of despair from being trapped within this endless black hole.

“Yun… Che!!” The sound of devilish voice wailing resonated over from the depths of the dark domain. It was none other than Fen Juechen, who had become completely twisted due to his immense hatred and enmity, “Disappear… forever!!!”

He could hear Fen Juechen’s voice, but he wasn’t able to detect where he was because this voice came from every corner of the Dark Domain. At this moment, Yun Che was almost suffocated and couldn’t even breathe. The devouring energy shrouded his whole body and the whole world, and his protective profound energy was almost pushed to its defending limit.

As the time of the terrifying crisis became increasingly near, Yun Che’s face remained extremely stiff, but the glint in his eyes became increasingly frosty and serene. At this time, a trace of light suddenly appeared below the corner of his eye.

A light which shouldn’t have been able to appear within this dark domain.

Yun Che’s vision was quickly redirected as he focused below him… the light wasn’t a hallucination or illusion. Although it weak, it was real. Moreover, it appeared to contain a unique vermilion!

Yun Che was incredibly familiar with this smear of vermilion… it was the color that belonged to the Heaven Smiting Sword!

As Yun Che’s mind willed it, in the blink of an eye, his entire body’s profound energy was condensed atop the Heaven Smiting Sword. The next moment, the Heaven Smiting Sword became enveloped in burning flames. Using the Heaven Smiting Sword as a catalyst, Golden Crow flames began to blaze fiercely. An extremely intense glow of fire emerged amidst the darkness within this dark domain which had devoured all light.

The Golden Crow flames blazed atop the Heaven Smiting Sword, illuminating its blade along with Yun Che’s face and figure. It also completely dispersed the darkness around him within a diameter of three meters. Within this seemingly endless dark domain, he had easily burned out an area of light.

After burning a hole in this area, a strange light flashed through Yun Che’s eyes as they became focused and he sliced out in front of him with his sword.

BOOM!!

A dull roar followed the trajectory of the Heaven Smiting Sword’s slice as the dark space in front of Yun Che was viciously torn apart. A several meter long trench of blinding, blazing flames began to burn amidst the darkness in front of him, only disappearing after quite a while.

“An extremely strong aura and a similarly terrifying momentum. However, it seems… it’s not that special after all.”

The pressure which had been weighing on his mind suddenly lessened by several times. The feeling perceived by Yun Che’s body and spiritual sense earlier could be described as extremely terrifying. He had been unable to free himself from it, and was even more incapable of tearing it. At the time, he could even clearly feel the aura of death… He had never thought that this shockingly powerful dark domain would actually be so vulnerable against the Golden Crow flames. It might have seemed scary on the outside, but on the inside, it was just a paper tiger which broke with the slightest touch!

Jasmine, “…”

If so…

Yun Che’s hands gripped the Heaven Smiting Sword which was ablaze with flames. As the flames burned, two faint scarlet flames carrying traces of gold emerged within Yun Che’s pupils. Behind him, the image of a giant golden crow slowly appeared and then quickly came into being as a heatwave crazily spread through the surroundings.

“Golden Crow flames’ destruction domain, Yellow Springs Ashes!”

BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM

The silhouette of the golden crow gave a long cry toward the sky, causing the air to tremble and the earth to crash. The flames which originated from a primordial true god were extremely hot and carried an unparalleled power of incineration as they forcefully tore through layer after layer of the Dark Domain. Even with the dark profound energy as a medium, the darkness which had devoured all light suddenly combusted and became blindingly bright due to the extreme flames.

Deep howls echoed around the dark domain like ghostly wails as the darkness which hid the day madly attacked the Golden Crow flames in hopes of enveloping and devouring them. At first, the darkness was still barely able to contend with the Golden Crow flames to a standstill. However as more and more of the domain was torn and blown apart, the Golden Crow flames quickly became an unstoppable force as thousands of rips and hundreds of holes appeared amidst the formerly complete world of darkness.

“Ah!!!”

In the face of the oncoming heat, Feng Xue’er suddenly stopped as she let out a sound of shock. The originally cool ocean breeze became hot like a flame as several hundred meters of high waves began to madly roil and surge in the ocean below, forcing Feng Xue’er to fly up to an altitude of three thousand meters. As she looked forward, she saw that the giant area of darkness had undergone enormous change as streak after streak of flames pierced out the sides of the darkness. In the blink of an eye, the world of darkness had already become ragged.

The darkness struggled as the flames devoured. Atop the roiling ocean, it was as if two giant beasts were fighting; a scarlet beast and a black beast were ruthlessly tearing at each other’s throats.

However, the darkness was clearly not an opponent for the scarlet flames which had later emerged. Before long, exposure to the burning scarlet flames caused the area of darkness to fall apart and turn into countless scattered fragments. Even without touching the incinerating flames, these fragments quickly dissipated on their own. As the flames continued to burn, they became increasingly intense. They had long since dyed the dark sky a thorough red, and had caused an extremely thick layer of steam which was hundreds of meters long to emerge atop the ocean and linger there.

The gusting winds were now no longer suppressed, and became increasingly violent and hot. In order to protect Xiao Lingxi, Feng Xue’er propped up a giant scarlet red shield. Afterwards, they welcomed the violent gusts, and used it to increase their speed as they flew east.

Big Brother Yun… Please don’t let anything happen to him…
In the sky within an area of five kilometers, only the blazing Golden Crow flames remained as they continued to burn until the last trace of the darkness had been exterminated.

Under Yun Che’s “Yellow Springs Ashes,” Fen Juechen’s “Lightless Eternal Night” had been completely defeated.

It seemingly didn’t even have the power to put up any resistance.

The arm Yun Che had raised slowly fell as he withdrew the Heaven Smiting Sword into the Sky Poison Pearl. Once the Heaven Smiting Sword left his body, a heavy feeling of near collapse was felt through every inch of his body. Even though it could be said that the process of destroying Fen Juechen’s Dark Domain went through without a hitch, it didn’t mean that he could relax. The aftermath of releasing a Yellow Springs Ashes which contained all his power left the profound energy in his body at a deficit. The reason why he had withdrawn the Heaven Smiting Sword was because he probably wouldn’t even be able to lift the Heaven Smiting Sword for ten breaths in his current condition.

But at least his condition was by far better than Fen Juechen’s.

The flames that filled the sky began to fall with each ball of fire leaving behind an expanse of water vapor which shot into the sky… If the power of the Golden Crow flames Yun Che released was increased by just a little bit, even water vapor would not arise for it would instead burn the water into nothingness.

Phew…

Yun Che let out a slow exhale, then extended his hand. As his palm faced the boiling ocean’s surface, he quickly released a streak of profound energy.

Bang!!!

The surface of the ocean exploded as a black human silhouette flew out in a straight line at Yun Che, and was firmly sucked into Yun Che’s grasp.

Even though he had been soaked in ocean water for a long time, Fen Juechen’s bloodstains still had not completely been washed off his body. There were at least tens of external injuries on his body that still slowly oozed with blood. The blood which stuck on his wounds and body was an abnormal scarlet black color.

Fen Juechen’s life force and profound strength aura was already incomparably weak. Only the phrase “hanging on by a thread” could be used to describe his current appearance. All four of his limbs dangled as he was being grabbed by the back by Yun Che. Although he was no longer able to use even an iota of his strength, his consciousness had not collapsed yet. In a weak, hoarse, and painfully low voice, he uttered…

“Why… would… it be like this…”

“How… could… I possibly… have lost…”

“How could… I lose…”

Yun Che didn’t say a single word. He lifted his left arm to Fen Juechen’s head and after a flash of radiance, his profound handle shot out of his arm, instantly entering Fen Juechen’s forehead, attacking his mind and soul.

He wanted to know where Fen Juechen’s strange power came from. He also wanted to know what exactly was the “Illusory Devil Tome of Eternal Night” Jasmine had mentioned.

After a few breaths of time, Yun Che’s complexion changed slightly. After a brief deadlock, the profound handle flew out of Fen Juechen’s body, returning to Yun Che’s arm.

“What a tenacious mind and willpower.” Yun Che muttered in astonishment, “He could actually still resist the Profound Handle Soul Search in that state.”

“Not only has his profound strength explosively increased, his soul has also qualitatively changed. Adding onto his originally strong willpower, even if he’s half dead, you wouldn’t be able to succeed if you conduct a Profound Handle Soul Search.” Jasmine stately indifferently, not surprised at all about this outcome.

“…” Yun Che swept his eyes across the surface of the ocean, dove down, and threw the near dead Fen Juechen onto a broken reef.

“You are not going to kill him?” Jasmine said coldly. She didn’t feel any killing intent on Yun Che. And his action now was obviously letting Fen Juechen go, “The consequences of cutting the grass without digging up the roots are right before your eyes. Do you want to make the same mistake on the same person again?”

“I really want to kill him,” Yun Che took a light breath as his face showed helplessness. A terrifying trouble was created all because he let Fen Juechen go back then. With Fen Juechen’s almost heaven defying growth speed, if he let him leave alive, it would be like planting a disaster that would be who knows how many times larger than today.

But…

  1. This is why i dropped ATG several times, piece of shit yun che can never kill his ennemies because of feelings… Grow up and be more like Li Qiye or Qin Lie. Man, this got me frustrated.

    1. He kills most of his enemies… he only spares those he should spare cause sparing them benefits him more than leaving them.

You realize that sparing Phoenix Empire left a strong army to protect Blue Wind and had him win the loyalty of an extremely strong young girl who could protect his sect…

And sparing Juechen not only helps him repay the debt for saving his little Aunt, but leaves alive a person that wants to protect his loved ones….

Don’t forget, most of Yun Che’s loved ones aren’t strong enough to deal with his enemies..

      1. “.. leaves alive a person that wants to protect his loved ONES….”, since when did Feng dude want to protect Yun Che’s girls other than that.. Aunt..? Blue Wind Empress would have died if Yun Che didn’t come in the nick of time, and Feng dude didn’t even think about her.

Unless Yun Che stockpile all of his girls around that Aunt, Feng dude won’t go out of his way to protect them. Even the Aunt can’t be sure to know the status of the other girls to ask Feng dude for help (she didn’t know that the Phoenix army was already close to destroying the capital and the Empress).

      1. I mean, I dropped ISSTH several times and picked it back up, but eventually permanently dropped it because the main character had gone from an interesting prankster scholar to a boring super wizard monk and then they literally had a chapter which was basically “Remember all these side characters? I don’t want to use them anymore so they’ll never show up again.”

So a book about a boring super mage monk with a single girlfriend and no friends was not exactly what I wanted to read.

I can see how you’d do it, especially with this novel (you can have 3 pages of blustering to 1 half page of fight).

        1. I’ll be the first to admit that ATG has some serious flaws, but your characterisation of Manga Hao is waaaayyyyyy of. The way you describe him and the story is almost like you aren’t actually reading ISSTH (which you literally admitted in your post)…

Also, while you are entitled to your opinion, ISSTH is one of the highest rated light novels out there. It’s high rated because it’s a well crafted story with strong writing unlike many LNs unfortunatly… You saying you don’t like it makes me think you may not actually like LNs and just comment to troll people.(As I type I’m starting to feel like I was just baited….)

          1. BTW, when does ISSTH becomes good? I’m in chapter 96 and it’s nice and all, but it lacks something…

          2. Good is subjective, I liked it almost from the very start. But I think the first major power up is coming up in 20-30 chapters for you. Once he starts getting some legacy’s, he starts destroying people.

          3. I agree with you. I struggle to find LNs that are written as well as ISSTH. Every arc is so vastly different from the one before it and it currently is in the series’ best arc.

If you’ve dropped ISSTH, that is akin to having eyes and not seeing Mt. Tai.

          4. The problem i have is that meng hao has almost no personality and the argument of the story is… Well, i don’t see an argument! There is nothing to acomplish, just survive and get stronger. Maybe i’m still in the prologe, it’s a story of more than 1000 chapters after all. But still, i find it hard to read because of the lack of motivation of the mc. I will keep readind 50 more chapters and if i don’t find something that atracts me i’ll drop it

          5. Jean Havoc, isn’t like every wuxia novel’s MC driving force usually centered around being the strongest? Isn’t that their main motive, at least initially until other elements are introduced? What makes ISSTH interesting is that his aspirations were simply scholarly and finding his parents, but was thrusted into a completely different path of immortal cultivation. Thus, his destiny has changed, and through him, we as readers get to explore the vast world and lore of the story. It’s not about him having aspirations moreso than him becoming incidentally involved in a situation much bigger than him, and how he now has to navigate through that, and in process become one of the main people of said situation.

What chapter of ISSTH are you on Jean?

          6. Meh, I read ISSTH to around 450 chapters, and I completely agree with that guy. It is a good story in some ways, but there are other major portions of the story that are just garbage. The MC is an annoying jackass who’s primary ambition is to become the first immortal virgin in history – the romance is just a cocktease from beginning to end and nothing ever happens. I would say the story is better without it, except without that the MC would never really interact with anyone else in any meaningful way. On top of that MC cultivates some unique system that ‘goes against the heavens’ and yet he never really gets stronger for it. None of his powerups has any relevance once he goes to the next level, unlike AGT where Yun Che still uses a lot of stuff from early on. Same goes for Meng Hao collecting shit, which is like at least 50% of the story – he collects a mountain of garbage items that he usually uses once and forgets about, and that goes for his abilities and legacies and whatnot.

None of it amounts to anything, Meng Hao is the man who is eternally able to barely win against that one random elder who is 1 cultivation step above him, and then that other guy 2 steps above him makes him run with his tail between his legs because he is SOOOO much stronger. In fact, Meng Hao’s entire journey/struggle is really one huge joke if you take a moment to consider how ridiculous the cultivation system is – if he had just cultivated normally, at least as far as I got in the story, he would be as much as ten times stronger than he is, just on the basis that it would be easier, he would cultivate to a higher level, and higher cultivation level trumps every other thing in the world in that story, especially the gaps between tiers.

        2. what are you smoking, things needs to come to an end people need to grow up, im also probably here just coz of a phase and then move on, how can you expect a story to continue be monotonous and never change and grow.

You dropped ISSTH because you though MC grew up and became powerful and mature wtf

    2. Yea this is the epitome of stupidity. I’m gonna let him live FOR NO REASON. There is literally no reason he shouldn’t be killed. None. He should be dead, he’s an uninteresting antagonist that is going to be used as a dumb plot device for a power up in the near future. I’m betting this is what will happen. F***g ridiculous.

      1. Isn’t the fact that Yun Che’s Aunt will be pretty sad after Feng’s death, enough of a reason? Yeah, it’s very annoying. She wants Feng dude to live even though she can’t reply his feelings and neither will Yun Che allow it. She only cares about how she feels about the unfairness of killing him after he saved her. She won’t think about the consequences of letting him live (that is, gaining more power to kill Yun Che). Nah, her brain can’t keep up with that speculation.

        1. there should be a side story by a fan about his aunt breaking down by MCs death due to her giving the fen guy a chance to kill the MC later on, that would be freaking hilarious

    3. If you were ever going to drop ATG you would have simply done it once and not needed to announce it to the world. The fact that you’re complaining so vehemently about the story, talking about how you’ve dropped it several times and yet are STILL reading and commenting on it, indicates to me that you need to grow up far more than you say Yun Che needs to do so.

      1. He can complain all he wants. Saying that he’s going to drop it is just one of various ways of saying how extremely bad he felt about it. Venting a depression somewhere is much better than holding it in.

Unless you can say anything else other than, “yeah, just drop it, and get out of here” or something along that line, you’re no better in my eyes than those guys who are just being butthurt due to the negative comments about something that they like (instead of accepting the fact that nothing is perfect so just let the complainers be unless you can proof otherwise).

        1. “He can complain all he wants.”
Let me tell you why that’s a load of bull, by copy pasting ashton’s comment from the previous chapter:
I can get criticism.. when it makes sense.
Game launched, whining on forums to devs – makes sense. People who like game criticising so it’d be better. Makes sense.

What doesn’t make sense someone who’s at 750 chapter whines about how book is bad under translation.

YOUR OPINION WILL NOT REACH THE AUTHOR.

I get a little whine about how this chapter is bad, happens.
But people keep on whining for hundreds of chapters and yet still read the book, they whine either because they’re too dumb to realize it wont change a thing cause it’s not like author is reading translation comments, or because they want to whine, they still keep reading and whining.. and that’s just pathetic.

          1. “YOUR OPINION WILL NOT REACH THE AUTHOR.”

Isn’t that blindly obvious? Especially knowing how translations tend to have huge chapter gaps from the raws (although this one had almost caught up), so you can’t help but think that something that you wanted to criticize about was already criticized by those who had read the raws (those Chinese readers, mainly). Since criticisms here mostly won’t reach the author ANYWAY, there’s no point holding on.. “criticism that makes sense” (it won’t have any effect to the story, regardless). People making criticisms here are mostly just ranting their depression (here I’d like to point out again that it’s better than holding it inside). Most, if not all, of them didn’t have any belief that their criticism would reach the author.
I had already “dropped” this series for one~two months at chapter 680, so I can tell you that it’s POSSIBLE to want to drop this around this chapter. In fact, I just picked this up again recently since I had already caught up to other novels that I liked better (hence I said “dropped” – I had no intention of merely putting it “on hold”, but I was too darn bored without anything else to read).

It sounds more “pathetic” to me that you can’t just ignore their “criticism” if they don’t make sense.

      2. Bruh you’re on every chapter complaining about complainers lol. I understand the frustration, given the quality of writing, this series is truly more popular than its worth, but the case is that probably most of the readers started with this one, or didn’t notice the flaws until really deep in because honestly, the very beginning was pretty strong. Sunken cost is all it is now. By the time I noticed the flaws of this story, I was already in the Primordial Ark so it was too late. The work has its pros still (like Duke Huai, Yun Che, Demon Empress final scene fight thing) and its cons (predictability, alot of the arcs repeating the same structure, needless perverted tendencies like an ecchi manga, “how convenient!” plot devices for why he needs to have sex with every female lead that’s introduced) and so on.

Don’t read the comments bro, this whining won’t go away. I hope that the latter part of the story really takes off, since they’ve set the scope of the series to include different realms like when he eventually confronts the Star God people or Dragon God daughter type stuff.

        1. An then there are also the complainers that complain about the complainers (conplainception) an so on, yet everyone got some valid points, except those guys that say that they will drop the novel, those bring nothing to the comment section.

So bad/good comments have the same rights to comment and so those that want/like to awnser those kind of comments.

          1. Very true. I agree completely. Just drop the work if you don’t like it, we don’t care to know that you’re going to do so.

      1. Why do you insist on flaming anyone who has anything non-positive to say? It’s called “comment” section and not “praises section” because people should be allowed to express and share positive AND negative opinions on what they read.

If it was just some particular comment you flamed I won’t be bothered but whenever I bother looking at the comments you’re always there at the end of any critical comment telling the commentor to go away.

It’s unhealthy to think like this for you personally, and unhelpful to behave like this for the community in general.

As we grow up we should learn to be tolerant when we’re not being showered with praise! It’s only then that we can become better.

And “the author won’t read it so it doesn’t matter” is a lame excuse because most of the criticism doesn’t reach their intended target anyway – that doesn’t make it pointless. It forms a general frame. Example: Does a movie director read every review from the critics? Does a novelist spy on a debate between two friends about the merits of their novel? No! Does that mean talking about their shortcomings is a meaningless and pointless task?

By that logic, none of you should be praising this creative work either because the author won’t read that as well.

All comments should then be strictly monitored to make sure they are only about the quality of translation and nothing else. To summarize, the whole comment section will become pointless drivel if we start being illogical like that.

        1. It’s called “comment” section and not “pointlessly whine & moan every single chapter about things that will not change” section because people should be allowed to express and share positive AND negative opinions on what they read, not just b!tch endless that “this novel is terrible / the characters are all idiots / plot hole plot hole plot hole / the author is a hack” 20 times a chapter.

Give it some variety for once.

    1. No, he saved Yun Che’s little Aunt…

This guy is basically a loyal bodyguard for his little Aunt when he’s off adventuring…

With how often Yun Che is away and in places where people think he’s dead, his little Aunt could use that protection…

If he kills this guy, his little Aunt would have more danger….

Without this dude, little Aunt would have been raped…

      1. Unless Yun Che can castrate the guy before leaving him with the Aunt (basically making him an eunuch), god knows what will happen with them in the future. If Yun Che leaves for even longer, who knows whether the Aunt will become thirsty for love. But hey, plot armor, Feng dude will become nothing more than a guard dog.

        1. No, cause Yun Che won’t be gone long enough for her to fall for lil Fen.. so the guy won’t get rewarded… and his power has side effects he can’t avoid

  2. Thanks for the chapter XD

And when the f*** is he going to open the profound veins for his wife and family?

And I get sparing the dude that saved his aunt from being raped and is willing to protect her from everything..

      1. Yeah. Feng dude will only be an antagonist for a couple more chapters looking at how he’s related with the whole Sacred Grounds thingies. Unless.. he will join the rest of the Eternal Nighties in the upper world (they seem to exist based on Jasmine’s words).

  3. Thanks, as expected yun che aint planning to kill him.
I actually get it, unlike most of his enemies juechen has huge ego and honor. If he’s gonna go, he’s gonna go after yun che not his family or anyone else. Yun che is also someone who keeps on making enemies to be in constant danger to increase his strength growth speed.

Added to that fact he protected lil aunt even if he wants to kill him he wont 😛

  4. Honestly, its more than a little bit exasperating to see Yun Che let enemies go – in succession – especially when it makes no sense to his nature. No matter how good the logical reasons are for him sparing an antagonist, emotional satisfaction is being traded for it. With Yun Che himself not being into the compromises thing in the matter, it’s inane, tiring and unfulfilling in a way the finishing round of an arc or segment should never be. Especially with the kind of trend ATG has been cultivating before this. I hope we don’t have too many more of these endings in the future.

    1. Agreed, it’s also coming right off the largely disappointing Phoenix city fight/conflict, where he uncharacteristically spared most of them even though all of those scum deserved to die too. I miss the days he would just annihilate an entire sect without a care. And this Fen Juechen, christ what an annoying cockroach. Why is he not dead already? He has more plot armor than the MC does. I don’t even understand how this guy was hurling attacks for over four hours straight, at full power, and still had 40% of his power left – seriously makes shit all sense. Then after t hat he powers up even more like some DBZ villain, or like a japanese protagonist orgasming over the power of friendship, and pulls more power out of his ass to hurl the ultimate kamehame blackhole domain attack.

  5. It was so obvious from the very start that Yun Che will not kill him. There are just too many secrets connected to this antagonist that are yet to be revealed. But regardless if Yun Che kills him or not, I actually dont care. Hahahahaha. He is just a side characted anyway (I guess).

  6. Yun Che’s hands gripped the Heaven Smiting Sword which was ablaze with flames. As the flames burned, two faint scarlet flames carrying traces of gold emerged within Qin Lie’s pupils. Behind him, the image of a giant golden crow slowly appeared and then quickly came into being as a heatwave crazily spread through the surroundings……..lol traces of gold emerged within Qin Lie’s pupils…… Qin Lie’s pupils…. hmmm

  7. Come one guys why argue about whether or not YC is gonna kill FJ we all know because lil aunt wants him to live, he will live. At some point FJ will probably become a good guy anyway. It’s literally another GokuXVegeta moment. Let it go. Read on and be happy. On a side note, what anime is that teaser image from? (Next chapters one)

    1. I’m sure he’s not alive because of little aunt, but because of the sword in the upcoming arc. Go go gadget plot armour.

That’s one of the Fate series I think. Looks a lot like Archer.

    ps:hello every body,hhhhhh
