Chapter 327 – Fury that Burns the Heavens (1)

“Xiao… ah no, Yun Che…” Xiao Ze’s legs trembled, and he spoke while gulping down his saliva: “My grandson Chengzhi went with Xiao Kuangyun to Xiao Sect three years ago, and is also a person of Xiao Sect’s Main Sect now, can you… can you please, out of his reputation…”

To them, Xiao Sect’s existence was like a hall of gods. Being able to join Xiao Sect, would be the greatest glory in their entire lives. Xiao Ze had wanted to make Yun Che somewhat fearful by bringing out the name of Xiao Chengzhi who joined Xiao Sect, but before he even finished, Yun Che’s icy and thorny gaze suddenly turning to him made him unable to speak another word: “Xiao Chengzhi? Heh, let alone he, who would be something even less than a mere door guard at the bottom most level after entering the Xiao Sect, even if Xiao Sect’s Sect Master Xiao Juetian came, I’ll make him pay his debt too! The debt that his son owed, he, as the father, cannot get away from the responsibility either!”

Yun Che’s words were ice-cold and heart-piercing, and actually thought nothing of even Xiao Sect’s Sect Master, Xiao Juetian in such a evident way. Everyone’s hearts trembled as they heard this … If he didn’t even give a shit about Xiao Juetian, then would Xiao Chengzhi even be considered to be someone’s fart… No, no! He simply couldn’t even be considered as someone’s fart.

Yun Che threw out a kick, and blasted Xiao Yunhai away. Xiao Yunhai’s body, which flew back, horizontally knocked over a dozen disciples together behind him. However, when Yun Che struck out these few times, he hadn’t struck with the intent to kill. Otherwise, with his current strength, even if he were to use just ten percent of his strength, it would be enough to make anyone here die without a complete corpse. Having become Xiao Clan’s Clan Master, Xiao Yunhai naturally wasn’t a total idiot, and also noticed this. He sat up struggling, and said: “Yun Che, back then… We have indeed let you and Fifth Elder down… But that time, we were also forced by the situation. We simply cannot afford to offend Xiao Sect’s people… If we didn’t do that, it would have ended badly for all of us… Us chasing you out of Xiao Clan, was also because you indeed did not have Xiao Clan’s bloodline… But, after all, we, Xiao Clan, has nurtured you for sixteen years…”

Xiao Yunhai naturally wasn’t someone who treated honor more preciously than his life, and would rather die than submit. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have sold and framed his own clan members in order to curry favor with Xiao Kuangyun back then. Thus, when he noticed that Yun Che didn’t seem to want to strike killing blows, he immediately started begging.

“Bullshit!” Yun Che swore as his brows sunk: “Forced? The first day Xiao Kuangyun came here, he simply didn’t see my Little Aunt at all, so how could he have birthed dirty thoughts against her! The framing you lot performed on the second day, you actually have the face to say it couldn’t be helped? Moreover, the person who nurtured me was my grandfather Xiao Lie, not you Xiao Clan! What you have given me, were only lofty contempt, disdain, mockery and oppression! These, I will never forget for eternity.”

As Yun Che spoke, his gaze swept over every single person present. No matter who it was that touched his gaze, they all felt their body turn cold. Especially those who had once and once again mocked him as a wastrel back then, all of them lowered down their lead as fast as lightning, their whole body trembling as they didn’t even dare to breathe a single loud breath…

If it was a normal strong being standing before them, they definitely wouldn’t shrink back to such an extent. After all, so many people of their Xiao Clan altogether, could be said to be the strongest force of Floating Cloud City. But the strength Yun Che displayed was truly too frightening; Xiao Bo, Xiao Yunhai, Xiao Li… These three who were currently the strongest three in terms of basic power, didn’t have the slightest capability to even struggle a little. Him casually splitting open the ground with his sword, even more so made many people’s heart collapse on the spot from fright.

Facing an oppressive might brought by such strength, they could only fear, and simply could not muster up the guts to resist.

Xiao Bo’s right arm was entirely crippled; Xiao Li was nailed onto a wall, his miserable screams had already become incredibly hoarse; Clan Master Xiao Yunhai knelt down on one leg with a face full of blood; Xiao Cheng and Xiao Ze’s legs were all clearly trembling, not daring to step walk forward a single step… The entire Xiao Clan, was permeating a kind of almost despairing aura. Looking at Yun Cho who was emitting heavy imposing pressure, resentment, and maliciousness, their intestines were almost breaking from regret… The current Yun Che whose name shook the world, was actually the Xiao Che who was chased out amidst their malicious words back then! If back then, they didn’t do such insidious and sinister things in order to curry Xiao Kuangyun’s favor, Yun Che’s glory today, would have benefitted their Xiao Clan! Xiao Clan’s fame would undoubtedly surge to the skies, and would not even be inferior to a branch sect of Xiao Sect…

Xiao Clan’s name, would be known by the world.

And because of Yun Che, they would also gain connections with the Imperial Family and Frozen Cloud Asgard.

These were things that they didn’t even dare to dream about, things far more than millions of times greater than that insignificant charity by Xiao Sect three years ago!

Yet all these things that could have been realized, were entirely destroyed because of their greed and insidiousness three years ago… What replaced them, was Yun Che’s resentment! As well as utter hopelessness that was most likely to come.

For the first time in their lives, Xiao Yunhai and these few Elders understood how the word ‘regret’ was written with unparalleled clarity. But there was no medicine for regret in this world, and it was eternally impossible for them to turn back time. But this had been self-sowed, and there was no one else to blame. They also had to painfully swallow this kind of outcome themselves.

Xiao Cheng carefully said: “Yes… these, are all our faults. We were completely blinded by Xiao Sect’s awe-inspiring name back then, but… but everything, were all the previous Young Clan Master Xiao Yulong’s idea! We were only… only coordinating with Xiao Yulong. And Xiao Yulong had also received retribution after that; on that same night, his eyes were gouged out, his nose, ears, tongue were cut off, and even the tendons in his limbs were snapped… and.. and he even became an eunuch… Everything back then, really wasn’t our idea!”

The matter regarding Xiao Yulong, had always been a taboo that was not allowed to mention. Otherwise, Xiao Yunhai would definitely go hysterical. But at this time, in order to attain a chance to live, Xiao Cheng couldn’t help it but to mention this matter, and even pressed all the crime onto the head of Xiao Yulong, who had died a miserable death. Yun Che’s gaze shifted sideways, and sneered: “You are correct, all of these, are retribution… they are retribution that he deserves! Yet you, after having done what you did that day, did you not ever think that sooner or later, you would also receive retribution one day!!”

Yun Che’s voice seemed to be right beside their ears. His figure had already instantly vanished, as Xiao Cheng and Xiao Ze simultaneously felt a wave of profound energy that was as sharp as a blade and as vicious as a tsunami come toward their face.

Two overlapping slapping sounds rang, and they were loud to the point that it made one’s eardrums vibrate from the tremor. Xiao Ze and Xiao Cheng both flew up simultaneously from the slap, landed far away and ragdolled on the ground, unable to stand back up for a long time. Blood leaked out from the corner of their mouths as their old faces became a field of blood-red. The side of their faces that got slapped swelled to over two or three times the usual size. Covering their old faces that felt like they were scorched by a raging fire, they painfully wailed in a low voice.

His figure flickered again, and Yun Che had already returned to the original position where he had stood. His speed was so fast that no one present could see him clearly. Yun Che cross his arms at his chest, and spoke with a sneer: “But don’t you worry, I won’t kill you just yet. Otherwise, you would have already become a pile of broken corpses long ago. It is not that I don’t want to kill you, but it’s because my Grandfather and Little Aunt are both kind and benevolent in nature, and have never been tainted with the sin of killing before in their entire lives. Moreover, my Grandfather and Little Aunt belongs to the same clan as you lot after all; if I were to kill you all like this, they would feel that your deaths were related to them, and would shoulder a feeling of guilt because of it.”

The moment the few people who were already despairing heard this, they instantly became overjoyed. But right after, they suddenly recalled something as their complexions changed once again, becoming even worse looking than before

Xiao Yunhai hastily stood up struggling and said: “It.. It is indeed us who let Fifth Elder down first, and for the great sin before, we deserved the retribution we received today. If you… spare us today, then from now on our Xiao Clan will follow you as the leader. If it’s your reasonable request… ah no, command, even if we have to jump into hot water and go through fire, we will definitely comply, and we only hope to compensate for the wrongdoings back then.”

All of their changes in complexion were recorded in Yun Che’s eyes. He felt that something was slightly off, but didn’t really take it to heart. He looked at Xiao Yunhai with cold eyes: “Xiao Yunhai, you sure are working out ideas. Chasing me out of Xiao Clan back then, yet now you want to strike up a relationship with me? Very well, since you Xiao Clan wish to obediently obey, then now, I already have one thing for you lot to do!”

Yun Che’s gaze sunk, watched everyone as he spoke coldly: “Every one of you, head to the rear mountain’s Reflection Gorge right now, kneel down at where my Grandfather and Little Aunt are being sealed at, and beg them to leave the Reflection Gorge! If you lot manage to beg them to leave, I will consider sparing your lives, and let your fate be decided by Grandfather. If you can’t get them to leave by begging… then kneel there until you die!”

Yun Che was not a merciful person, but Xiao Lie was, as well as Xiao Lingxi. Especially Xiao Lie; if he did not heavily value loyalty and love, how would he have endured the mockery and criticism by thousands, and toilsomely bring up Yun Che, who had with crippled profound veins, who wasn’t even his blood-related grandson. Yun Che knew what would happen if these people’s fate were to be given to Xiao Lie. Even if they had utterly failed Xiao Lie, Xiao Lie still wouldn’t sentence them to death… Yun Che knew that clearly, but he could only choose to do so. Otherwise, it would be like what he himself had said, and make his grandfather’s heart shoulder a sense of guilt that was hard to put down henceforth.

However, he didn’t expect that after he spoke these words, the members of the Xiao Clan before his eyes actually did not reveal joy and relief on their faces, and instead revealed a frightened look several times more greater. His brows abruptly tightened, and a bad feeling suddenly emerged in his heart.

“This… this… this…” While this was clearly a great hope that descended from the heavens, that even neared a bestowment of grace, Xiao Yunhai and others had instead felt their entire bodies turn cold. Xiao Yunhai kneeled on one knee again, his entire body powerless as he could not manage to stand up again. With a hoarse voice that carried deep fright, he said: “Fifth… Fifth Elder, and Xiao Lingxi… are already… already…”

Yun Che’s pupils instantly constricted, and his entire body suddenly released a malicious aura and killing intent that was cold to the extreme. His figure flashed, rushed before Xiao Yunhai’s face, and he tightly grabbed his collar at once while speaking with bloodshot eyes: “What already happened to my Grandfather and Little Aunt? What happened to them… SPEAK! SPEAK NOW!”

As he was grabbed by Yun Che, Xiao Yunhai suffocated as his face became ghastly white. Xiao Cheng, who was beside them held his swollen face, and said while shrinking back: “They… they are already no longer in the rear mountain…”

Yun Che’s head went “bzzzt”, and he felt an intense wave of dizziness.

A surge of icy malicious aura, as though it came from hell, made everyone’s entire bodies shiver. Xiao Cheng fiercely gulped down a mouthful of saliva, and hastily spoke, afraid that Yun Che would suddenly explode in rage and kill them: “It was Burning Heaven Clan… It was Burning Heaven Clan’s people…”

“Three days ago, a group of Burning Heaven Clan members suddenly came here… They said they wanted to take away Xiao Lie and Xiao Lingxi… We didn’t know the reason at all, and they didn’t explain anything to us either… Since it was Burning Heaven Clan’s orders, we simply didn’t dare to resist, and could only watch as they went to the rear mountain… and took away Fifth Elder and Xiao Lingxi… It was Burning Heaven Clan’s people.. It really has nothing to do with us…”

“~!#$%…” Within Yun Che’s brain, it was as if something exploded with a bang. Every single drop of blood, every single bundle of nerves, every single wisp of his soul, were all completely and utterly flooded with a suddenly exploded fury and hatred.

  1. If “might makes right” than… what happens when your OP main character is… wrong? Oh dear…. I was just speculating on this topic.

In this volume we have seen the MC be wrong. The rape was wrong – but seemed to be a one-off event and possibly the “best of bad choices”. But now the CONSEQUENCES of the rape have come back to bite our MC. He did not handle that news at all well. Nor did he handle the Frozen Asgard (family of the rape victim) at all well. (although the level of “damage” he inflicted is way minor for this genre) His handling of the wedding/princess is totally thrown now and… *yeash*

I don’t know if I’ll enjoy reading the rest of this. Mega dark is not my thing. Nor the “massive Karma payback” that seems to be a theme in this type of story.

    1. it wasn’t really rape. yuechan pretty much didn’t even think of resisting him when he did it and while not verbally consenting probably felt that way. so i would at most consider it half rape

the way he dealt with asgard i think is a grey area – he was right in that mistress asgard didn’t do everything she could for a pseudo family member, but also over did it with attacking in rage without getting facts straight.

as for consequences for doing it with yuechan, what consequences do you see?

Also this is probably just a cheap answer but i think the way he dealth with burning heaven clan was appropriate for plot advancement. it also fits logically based on the previous event and knowing yun che’s character

      1. She didn’t think of resisting him because she physically couldn’t resist him.

She was crying the whole time, complaining that she’d rather be a cripple than have sex. How the hell is that not rape? Since when could Yun Che decide for her?

          1. She didn’t resist because she didn’t want it.

If a woman tells a man she loves that she doesn’t want sex and the man does it anyway, that’s rape.

        1. It also said that she gradually welcomed his embrace as well. Meaning she enjoyed it and it wasn’t rape as you would like everyone to believe.
Also it was the only way to save her from being crippled for the rest of her life

          1. It was only a little rape in the beginning. Then she started to enjoy it, so it cancels out that rape. No. Rape is rape.

It was Chu Yuechan’s choice to be crippled for the rest of her life or not. Not Yun Che’s. That was not his decision to make.

          2. so if you see someone jumping from a bridge “oh well that was his decision”
sorry, volountarily deciding to be a cripple sounds like that to me

        2. If some of your family member or loved ones say he/she wants to suicide what will you do? i respect your decision so go die? I sure as hell would make them stay alive i will use force too.

        3. Dude we all know that ahe already likes our mc yun che…that said you wont keep a baby and forsake your lifestyle for a rapist child would you?…she did that for a ‘rapist’

          1. i know people who have. Someone I knew at school was raped. testfied against the rapist and got him put away for years. refused to have an abortion and her parents kicked her out on her 18th birthday less than 5 days before the baby was due. it’s not the baby’s fault his father was an evil scumbag and someone will not abort a innocent child

      2. Rape – “Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration perpetrated against a person without that person’s consent.”

Yun Che did not get any verbal consent. In fact, he got the opposite. Chu Yuechan constantly told him to stop. That is the very definition of rape.

The way Yun Che dealt with FCA is not grey at all. He’s totally in the wrong. However FCA dealt with Chu Yuechan has nothing to do with Yun Che. Because Chu Yuechan was a member of FCA.

        1. Of course it is rape!… for our society!
But in the world of ATG and most of the other Chinese novels rape is not a big thing, i think that i have never even seen the word rape written before in the novels! it happens all the time no one is shocked about it in these storys.
I think if you are reading ATG then you must be reading all the other Chinese novels as well, so things as having sex against someones will, is something that you should expect to happen once in a while. You have to be in there world and not ours when you are reading these storys.
Also there is always a reason behind it, either to save the girls life or because he was forced by some drug or something eles!
It’s not like the MC See’s a fit girl and say right i’m going to F**k the S**t out of her because i want to! and keep going on with his power loving quest!

          1. Lol, what’s with all you butt hurt people crying rape… Yeah MC took some liberators with her but it’s not like he did it for no reason or didn’t think about it. I’m pretty sure this event also lead to further progress his relationship with CY as she sought no retribution and eventually opened up towards him.
We of course all have our own opinions, but if you’re going to say something along the lines of “not sure ill continue reading…” Then don’t try to ruin it for others by slandering our MC as a simple rapist, because the events regarding that event were far from simple.

          2. Man d hell is with you!! They are not is our society. .that said. You do know that she really did not want to die without being able to practice her frozen arts! So should the author weite yun che to be patient for at least 10 chapters persyating her? Like u would like that… she wasnt willing to betray fca not that she was2 willing for yun che to poke her.

          3. and only if you can get a jury to convict. i imagine if someone made the case that the only way to prevent someone from being a cripple for the rest of their life was to have sex with them and their was pressing dangers to both their lives that necessitated it being done to save both their lives, at least one of the jury would find it difficult to convict.

        2. First of all, why is anyone bringing our MODERN morals and ethics into this. This story is set in another world, in which the timeframe is similar to medieval China. In that world, there is usually no such thing as the “right choice”, it is almost always the lesser of two evils.

Secondly, the way Asgard dealt with Yuechan has everything to do with Che. Not only is it about someone he loves, but it also involved his own child. How exactly does that have nothing to do with him.

Personally, the reason I read fantasy novels is so that I can escape from my life for a while. I know I don’t have it bad, but I’m pretty sure everyone has parts of their lives they need to escape for a short time, and books like this are my outlet. But then people like you come along. The fact that you dumbasses are still reading this means you either like this way more than you’re admitting, or you’re masochistic perverts. But it pisses me off every time you idiotic trolls post something specifically meant to ruin this for everyone else. I respect your right to your own opinion and you can debate about plot points, but then you blatantly use moronic and fruitless reasoning just to troll others who actually enjoy these debates and the story as a whole. The way I see it, you and the other trolls have three options: you can put down these old arguments and bring up serious plot points, shut up, or just gtfo.

          1. All that person did was point out that the other person was wrong about it “not really being rape”. And no, it really doesn’t have anything to do with Yun Che- how Asgard decides to deal with its members is its own business. In their eyes, she broke the biggest rule of the sect and simultaneously leaked out many of their most powerful techniques(which is why Yun Che has those abilities now). It was perfectly within their rights to decide to expel her. In fact, she’s lucky they didn’t outright execute her- probably just because Asgard’s mistress cared about her.

Just because someone says something you don’t like about the story or interprets it differently doesn’t make them a troll. Stop crying and insulting others like a child.

    2. Just a few things I’d like to disagree here.

I cannot consider Frozen Asgard as the ‘family of the rape victim’. Could you tell me just which part of them behaved like a proper ‘family who had their daughter raped’ and invoked your sympathies, even after what they did? It’s best to call it a religion that exiles heretics who broke their rule. Don’t just blame everything on Yun Che, Chu Yuechan’s family(or so you call it) handled this way worse than he did, which is the reason why he ended up going way above what he intended to do, which is to take Chu Yuechan away. Yun Che didn’t handle it very well because he is not perfect; it would be extremely boring if he was a emotionless and perfect being.

To be honest, if you didn’t like the ‘massive karma payback’, I find it very admirable that you have made it this far into the story, or even read any CN fantasy/Xianxia at all.

      1. I can’t speak for the OP, but when the MCs aren’t being douches (e.g. when MGA’s Chu Feng isn’t committing genocide or when Yun Che isn’t raping) they’re upstanding people.

I tend to view them as mistakes that humanize these characters.

        1. Yun Che definitely raped her…that is an undeniable fact. Wrong decision, but not all people are saints. I never placed Yun Che in high regard in terms of morals, but he is an interesting MC so I will continue to read it. His decisions are rash, but he does things that many could never have the balls to do.

In fact, if he was perfect I wouldn’t bother reading it. He is human and his flawed character is what makes him fun to read about.

          1. Did anyone else notice that Yun Che kinda laughed about the fact that he got to sleep with her? It was like he was looking for an excuse to give in to his base urges and said “well, this makes up for it” while laughing behind his back. He wasn’t doing anything for her at all.

He’s even admitted that he doesn’t truly love most the women he chases, he just wants to ‘possess’ them because they are beautiful.. being self centered and self serving is his core (and it’s the very nature of his healing skill). There seems to be only one woman he truly loves, and she’s on a different continent.. anyone else is just a trophy.

          2. What the hell ? when the hell did you even read him admitting he doesn’t love those girls-women and he just wants to possess them because they are beautiful ?
I’m sorry but you are just making things up.

          3. @1Lyric4u

Actually he also loved his Little Aunt, he loved Cang Yue, and he loved Little Fairy…

It was only the woman he legally married that he didn’t love.
Little Aunt – Love from 1st life
            Su Ling’er – Love from 2nd life
Cang Yue – He actually fell for during his journey
Chu Yuechan – During the 5 months where he learned to understand her and cared for her
            To everyone in this convo:

And it should be noted that people are forgetting somethings in the rape situation

*In this world, being weak is seen as a crime, and if he left her alone, she’d probably have had to leave with him anyways. But he wanted to help her and keep her in Asgard

*He knew she wasn’t actually against it, but that it went against her beliefs. He wanted to leave her the excuse that it was rape to be spared from being kicked out of Asgard.

What people should be pissed about is that it was never mentioned how the entire thing happened because of the damage that was done to her body and how his virgin energy was needed to save her.

And if anybody complains about him doing a crime, they can’t claim that, because he had enough power to make it legal.

Might makes right in this world (and frankly, it’s over all true. Only reason some people can’t do what ever they want is cause they’ve gotta fear other strong people).

          4. i don’t think most juries today would convict him. without her power they both would have died unable to escape the trial grounds so that is an extenuating circumstance, juries normally tend to consider having reason to fear for your life in crimes. not too mention some people would very possibly find it reasonable that if someone is paralyzed except for 1 arm which has little movement with no hope for recovery except for having sex with someone they don’t want to they would find it the reasonable course of action to have sex with her. for many of the same reasons why in most states physician assisted suicide is illegal and you can be put in a mental health institute for things like cutting yourself

    3. The rape part is a bit tricky and dark. On one hand he did it to help her and thus basicaly saved her life, as she wasn’t willing to live as a criple. On the other hand considering her upbringing she wasn’t willing to do it regardless of gaining her powers or liking him so it was rape. However, she forgave him for that. If others don’t nothing can be done about it.

As for FCA. If you recall he had given the best treasure known in this continent, thus they owed him a HUGE favor, that they couldn’t hope to fullfil; however, that fact was completely ignored by them. The least that should have made them even and considering who Little Fairy was, letting her go like that was very bad. Yun Che did broke into FCA but there was no other way of contacting them. Beside as sad as it sounds if he didn’t show his might FCA would also have haunted him down in future even if he hadn’t broken into FCA. You should also take into account that he had just learned that his child was probably dead because of their “ridiculus” rules. In other these type of stories MC would have went on a killing spree of FCA. Just look at MGA, MC kills people if they say something he does not like.

As for the Princess’ wedding, what did you want him to do? Let the princess get married and commit suicide? Even if he did that they would still be hunting him down as he was already on their killing list even before he killed their young master. As for the brutality he showed at the wedding, that was necesary, as he needed to seem stronger than he was, at that time he wasn’t strong enough to take them head on. Not that I would have minded either way as they were not innocent bystanders and would do worse things.

What suprizes me more is that you just now found out what kind of genre story this is and the MC personality. From the beginning we know that he has killed millions of people that were hunting him down and he was obsessed with revenge. His personality hasn’t changed much, although he can make sacrifices for the people he loves. We also saw his brutal revenge after he was exiled and his aunt and grandfather were sent to prison. But if you don’t like the payback aspekt of it, you should stop cause if you haven’t noticed by now, that has been happening throughout the story and is what drives this story.

    4. An anti-hero, think Lelouch from code geass or a villain like Light from deathnote.

Also can everyone stop talking about “that,” scene, I think it’s obviously in a gray area where either side of this argument won’t like the others response.

    5. Haha, you got it bad pal. Though atg is my number 1 xianxia, I already knew that this will turn into a “dark” novel, which is meant to happen sooner or later.

How to solve this problem? :3

I faced the same dilemma when MGA and Martial god space became dark novels, and I reached the point where I almost stopped reading xianxia novels altogether. Then someone suddenly suggested reading Ze Tian Ji, in order to balance out “dark” with “Light” xianxia novels.

Now, Im fine with reading any Dark novel :)) ( because there’s Ze Tian Ji )

~ Luo Luo is just too cute~

    6. you can think of it has rape if you want but rather think of it has young girl being told sex, men and attraction are bad her whole life and like a good girl she would believe it, thats more of a religious sect brainwashing than anything, also when the quote “when she says no she means yes” there is some truth to it not all the time but sometimes, just like when you know people want to say yes but are afraid and say no. this is pretty bad explanation hopefully you got what i was trying to say.

      1. Umm. When there’s a girl like that, you tell that to the girl. You don’t force sex on her.

And when she says no, she definitely means no. God, this is why so many wifes are victims of marital rape.

    7. You really should consider the aftermath… and the reason. So you would never have sex with anyone who might actually be interested in you, and only be holding back due to their upbringing even if that was the only way you had to save her life?? Wouldn’t you then be willing to take the blame, and harm someone you liked in order to save her? Keep in mind then that she was fond of him, and clearly again as the aftermath shows, in love with him just as she was. Also the family?? Have you even been reading this.. She was taken from her family and taught to never ever have feelings. She was basically introduced into a cult. Notice the very hurtful side-effects that had on the leader of the Frozen Asgaard when she considers her lost love.

And you also complains that he saves the princess life? Saving her from a forced marriage? And all that self-sacrifice and heroism he has displayed is “mega dark” for you?? Well if you are unable to read between the lines and putting together the whole picture from the various chapters, then yes, this novel might indeed be too dark for you.

However if you are just trolling, then hats off for you, for being able to troll by pretending to be one of those who believe the lies/claims of the burning heaven clan or the Xiao clan. And yea I guess if you really want to go into it, we are being told this from his perspective, so it could be a really dark story.. however reality is different and he is a hero, with guts to do what it takes to save life. You don’t see him go around raping strangers for no reason right?

        1. It was also her choice to determine he was guilty or not if It was just a normal rape he would be dead already instead she loves him back so much that destroyed her own asgard sect cultivation without a second thought. She knew he did it to save her but she truly became honest with ”love” part after hearing his death news.

So to keep repeating rape is immoral and you should feel bad like meat jelly you need to look into circumstance too. Besides this happened 100s of chapters ago why talking about it now.

    8. Stop overthinking. While rape is something horrible for you and me, that is clearly not so on the world this novel takes place.

Otherwise Krav magá masters would rule the earth.

    9. You guys are all wrong actually. if you go back and look, he didnt rape her at all! He politily asked her after he had spent the five months with her whether she would be ok with him saving her life through the intercourse. She did not reject him and went along with it. She was crying because of betraying her clan, and maybe because she was happy even, because there isnt a single hint that she regreted it. After he died she basically admitted she was in love with him and wanted him to take her away from her sect. Yun Che asked her before he commited the act whether she was ok with it or not, and if she said no he was going to respect her decision but she did not say no. Before the 5 months she wanted to die but that was because there was no hope for anything and she didnt love him yet. I think he handled everything rather real, and with the Burning Sect I know the consequences of fighting them head on is biting him now, but I woulda handled it just like him, if not then even more violently and gone to their direct clan to kill ever trace of them.

    10. Yeah… stop twisting facts. Rape? Yeah, it was rape, no one can refute that it was rape. But it was not at the level of rape that is disgusting, such as bandits raping a woman. This was “rape” done out of the need to save someone, and that someone actually loved this guy(to a certain extent) who “raped” her. She would’ve committed suicide if she was going to be crippled for the rest of her life, not even being able to move, he saved her life after she foolishly went up against those dragons that she could’ve fled from, and no, it’s not his fault that she was attacked, it was out of his control. This “Rape” also didn’t leave any mental damage AT ALL, it just made her love him more in the end. The issue of FCA, yeah, he was in the wrong, but they were also in the wrong. She had already accepted him after the deed, why the hell are you calling them the “family of the rape victim”, they went against her wishes when they could have done more, what a good family. She had clearly accepted yun che and wanted to give birth to their child, why did they not do whatever they could to help if they’re her “family”? At the same time, as I said, yun che was also wrong, he went on his feelings without considering the fact that it is a sect, a kind of organisation, they have rules and he’s an outsider, they could be seen as having acted leniently. It all depends on which way you look at it.

So what’s the problem? What are you all bickering about? How about actually reading what was truly written instead of making up your own versions of the events? Ask yourselves, what would’ve been better? A minor case of rape(where there was actually love involved) to save someone, or allowing this woman who he loves to die in regret with all her wishes unfulfilled for no reason whatsoever? Maybe you feel like she should have died instead, then obviously I have to question if you’re truly sane, but I wouldn’t care that much since everyone is allowed to have their own opinions.

Shit, you people are acting like a bunch of wusses that regards this as some kind of real life rape where it was done because of sexual urges that breaks down the victims mind, making them become depressed and sometimes commit suicide, you’re making it seem like that is exactly what happened, that he in a beastly manner forced himself upon her while she was screaming, wailing, crying and attempting to escape with all her power, just to satisfy his desires, while fact is that she was just regretting that she was going to break the rules of the sect, therefor shed a tear or two and weakly resisted before accepting it and it left no mental scars whatsoever. Are you guys really that set in your modern day morals that you can’t even consider the difference? is the word “rape” so horrible that it overshadows all the logical reasoning you possess, that you go into a mad rage when it is mentioned? Wouldn’t it be even more of a sin to let this woman die when you had the power to save her and even advance her power? I don’t know about you, but if I was in the same spot and had to choose between either staying crippled, unable to move and having no power for my entire life, or having intercourse with a someone that I actually love to some extent(even if it’s not at a very high level of love) and regain all my power+some extra and freedom, I would undoubtedly choose to be “raped”, seriously… What the hell is there to regret? The only other choice was death… I’d say she’s relatively lucky to have been saved by just being “raped” by someone she likes, even if it goes against her sect rules and previous notions.

    11. It was just a series of unfortunate events, first his pendant was stolen, then they ended up in flood dragon territory, following that she ended up crippling herself to kill one, so he had to prevent her from committing suicide he promised to repair her and give her hope, when he found someone who knew how to save her he had to complete a challenge, but in order to maintain her physical condition he had to bring her along which increased the difficulty, which made her a target which caused him to constantly keep her in his arms, which caused her to become accustomed to his embrace. So after he completed the challenge he was told the only way to save her was to have sex with her, she didn’t reject his embrace because she was accustomed to it….and he’s not responsible for everyone finding out, it was that jealous wife fault. How can you blame someone because someone ripped their veil, which was used to cover their beauty, and someone falls in love with them because they saw their beauty? He’s not chu Feng, he didn’t rape her cause he had the chance or to get back them, he had a legitimate reason which could happen in a story. She would have killed herself if her veins were restored normally because she would have had to start over from the beginning. So he wasn’t just doing it. I don’t deny he raped her, I just deny he did it with an I’ll intention or for self satisfaction, even though it was in order to relieve the guilt that she was crippled because she helped him

  2. for the next 20-50 chapter ahead, we will see the destruction of burning heaven clan !!!!!!!!

    cannot wait !!!!

please give me 5 chapter a day !!!!!!!

anyway thx a lot for the translation

  3. Fking Burning Heaven Clan!!! If even a single hair on Little Aunt’s head is hurt, Yun Che will make sure you’re wiped out to every last mouse! These people apparently haven’t had enough pain to learn yet. Ugh!

    1. You think they even have to harm a single hair? Just this act of theirs where they abduct her after the warning Yun Che had given them of them provoking him one more time is all he needs to wipe out the entire BHC from the face of the continent.

      1. Agreed.. BHC is done for.. and eventually so is Heavenly Sword Region.. he’s gonna return to his family and be like “I beat cakes over there before I came home! It was fun!”.

        1. Given the way they talked about the young lady of the BHC a while back something tells me Smooth Che is going to make a comeback while Baddass Che is kicking the clan’s ass.

  4. Thanks for the chapter!!

“Yun Che’s head went “bzzzt”, and he felt an intense wave of dizziness.”

Something just broke in Yun Che’s mind. RIP Burning Heaven Clan. GGWP. It was not nice knowing ya.

  5. Seems the stronger Yun Che gets the dumber he becomes. How is it he didn’t see this coming? Was it that hard to get the Blue Wind Empire to send somebody to pick them up? You’d think he learned his lesson with his 2nd lifetime…

    1. He probably was in hurry after all just as he was freed he was given the news about the princess’s marriage and after saving her , he heard the news about chu yuechan! And so he never had the time to properly think about what would happen because of his actions.

      1. He certainly remembered them before he set off to Asgard, it is just for some reason he thought they were safe…Considering everybody knew who he was married to, it shouldn’t be hard to figure out that the Burning Clan can track down where he came from (after all, the Blue Wind Empire did it and they have fewer resources).

I just don’t like it when an author creates an intelligent protagonist only to dumb him down for the sake of the plot. It is one of my biggest pet peeves.

        1. I Dont think its as easy as that like it was said when he got out he learned about the marriage that was gonna happen and he dint have half a second to relax or else he would be to late and luckily he went their or cang Yue would have killed herself

then once that was done he went to Asgard and was attack by burning heaven clan so he had no choice 2 kill them off unless to look weak and be chased non stop as for having 2 chose between going to Asgard or flooting cloud city you tell me which would you pick Asgard was a lot closer then flooting cloud city and every day could mean the diffrence between life and death for Chu Yuechan and his kid this was a normal answer and indeed he dint think that burning heaven clan would get his little aunt and grandfather but still even if he knew and had to pick he probably would still have gone to Asgard first because it was closer and if you think about it burning heaven clan isn’t stupid enough to kill them ( or maybe im giving them 2 much credit but) because what they want is him and killing them will give them zero benefits at all and until they have him i think its highly unlikely that they will touch them at all. But still its a fact that he dint even think that they would have touched them but the way he handled everything would have barely differed even if he did only difference is he would have been much angrier earlier also he might have thought that burning heaven clan had some type of brain after he managed 2 kill fen moli who is probably 1 of the top 3 strongest in their clan i mean how do they plan on killing him not only did he kill him he killed a bunch of their elders as well what can they truly do against him ????? they have 1 throne the rest arnt worth anything….. if u ask me they dint just dig their grave they shot themselves and fell inside their grave and all Yun Che will do is bury them ^^

Also finally in my opinion, i think that Xiao Sect might get in the fun as well i think the burning heaven clan probably went to ask Xiao Sect for help because to be frank burning heaven clan dont have what it takes to beat him and they know it + Xiao Sect should already know what has happened 3 years ago and they must be sweeting buckets so its highly likely in my opinion that Yun Che will have 2 fight both the burning heaven clan and the Xiao Sect at the same time.
I feel i repeated myself in this comment but wtv atless hopefully the point im making is their (hopefully) ^^

OH and thx for the chapter 🙂

        2. He wasn’t dumbed down.

That said, even intelligent people have dumb moments…. but this wasn’t being dumb rather than being too slow.

He actually got there pretty fast, Burning Heaven was just faster.

          1. It is only natural that as soon as he attacked them, the Burning Clan will dispatch people to find his family. Meaning he had to act right after the incident with the marriage procession. He didn’t even have to act himself and could have had the Blue Wind Palace send some people to pick up his family and hide them. It would’ve been so easy and wouldn’t have placed the Imperial family in any danger.

The thing that made this MC unique in the beginning was his composure under any circumstance. In the beginning of the novel, no matter how dire and emotional the situation, he would keep a cool head and act in a measured forward thinking manner. He was cunning and ruthless with ice cold water running through his veins. This is what first attracted me to the novel, however, as the novel progressed he slowly lost that quality. Seems like his intelligence and strength have an inverse relationship and that is disappointing to say the least. Yun Che used to be scheming and unpredictable. Now we all know exactly what is going to happen in the foreseeable future. I was hoping for more from this novel and author.

    2. In his 1st life time, he was a loner and his only few people were always with him

In this life, he didn’t have time to do sh*t.

Think about it, right when he got free, he had to stop a wedding with almost no time to spare. Then he had to do a complex surgery with a new power, then he all of the sudden just learned about his lover being pregnant and having to worry about them being kicked out or killed.

He had too much to worry about.

Nothing to do with being dumb. Rather than being unable to see this coming, he didn’t even have enough time to think this through. He had too much on his plate.

Also, normally, Burning Heaven Clan would have attacked him directly, maybe even have the clan master attack him.

But he also couldn’t do anything.

Because after all the sudden events, he went to the City to save his lover and grandfather as fast as possible.

They already had a few days head start. So it has nothing to do with being smart or dumb. And with Burning Heaven’s rage, nobody in the Profound palace would have contended with them anyways.

We see more than he does, because we are reading everything.

Being smart doesn’t mean you are omnipotent.

    3. Yun Che isn’t psychic and he isn’t perfect. How is he supposed to know this was going to happen? He hasn’t even had time to stop for a moment and think since he broke free. We only knew it was going to happen because it’s a story and this sort of thing happens in these stories. For Yun Che however, there is nothing that could have especially indicated to him that this was going to happen and nothing he could have really done about it anyway.

He had to stop for the bone marrow and soul in the wasteland of death otherwise he wouldn’t have been strong enough to survive the BHC elders, after that even if he had some indication to do so and ran at top speed to little aunt’s side it would have been impossible to get there in time. Even hurrying with the help of a Sky Profound Ice Phoenix he was 3 days late, so what do you want? Do you want him to ignore the knowledge of Little Fairy being pregnant and him being a father and instead run to little aunt’s side with no detour and die to Fen Moli and the others because he doesn’t have the marrow and soul, or do you want him to do exactly what he did?

The only dumb people around here are some of the commentors like you. Either you guys whine that Yun Che is perfect and a boring Gary Stu, you whine that he’s a rapist and twist all of his actions to make him look like the spawn of Satan, or you whine that he’s an idiot and he should have been perfect while foreseeing all possible future danger with his magic fuelled psychic powers.
You guys are literally impossible to please.

      1. It’s what makes their comments a freakin joke.
Rape? The guy who spent 5 months in a hell like experience, that I’m sure none of these white knights would even choose to do for a total stranger, for a woman and believe he cares nothing for her? He may not of loved her in the beginning but had so much respect for her to put himself in such a situation.
As for the actual situation in the cave. The refusal had less to do with not wanting sex and more to do with traditions of the school. All Asghards are prideful of that, even MC’s wife. If MC didn’t care for Yun, than he would of never put Yun in such a caring environment while Yu suffered hell.

  6. Thanks for the chap.

Now, here’s what I think will happen in the next few chapters:
    – Grandpa will die trying to protect little aunt.
-Yun Che saves little aunt when she gets an inch away from being raped, if not AFTER being raped.
-BCH clan gets eradicated (Natural outcome)

  7. People who read ATG (And Xianxia in general) wouldn’t blink an eye when Yun che was killing all those people, and yet cry so much about Chu Yuechan’s ‘rape’..

This is Xianxia – the strong devours the weak. If anything I’m surprised there isn’t much more of this behavior (Although from some peoples reaction, I guess I shouldn’t be surprised after all). Actually, a world-renowned beauty helpless being taken advantaged of is par for the course. Why? because – hello.. we are in Jiang Hu…

If you want a super-hero that avoids killing and taking advantage of another – May I recommend Superman or any of them DC / Marvel folks? You’ll probably identify with Batman who refuses to kill the joker because it allegedly will cause him to slide to the ‘dark side’.. :/

Still love Yun Che though (And Wang Lin, Meng Hao, Zuo Mo, etc.. etc..)

  8. Well.. all I can think of is Burning Heaven Clan is done for…it’s gonna be simply history after Yun Che is done with them.
The Burning Heaven Clan simply invoked the wrong person and simply signed their death certificates. I would sympathize with them but after what they’ve done they have it coming so no.
And since the elders are dead except one who was spared the Burning Heaven Clan would not have too tough defence left out to face Yun Che.

  9. Well he is going to destroy that burning heaven and rename it burning corpse ground. Hope he would go with a smarter way with this, which he won’t, like sneak in save them then destroy them from the inside out. idk i just hope, most likely he will go in burning in anger and kick their front door ●_●

    Thanks for the chapter 🙂

  10. Why didn’t Yun Che borrow a flying type magical beast after the wedding again? This could have all been avoided had he just asked the people that owed him a huge debt for something he knew they possessed. Or have the royal family send the Palace Chief that escorted them to the tournament pick his family up.

”But, he lost his head and was worried about his baby and Yuechan.”

Then why didn’t Cang Yue or Cang Wanghe say anything? Oh right, because the author is becoming terrible at making it so that a character’s motivations and actions make sense. Seriously, he had to get from point A to B in the fastest way possible. How do you do this? Flying type magical beast, did they have one? Sure. He had the presence of mind to get on a horse and to keep switching them, so why not use that Snow Eagle thing or some such. Plot holes, galore. And after that the author pulls the ‘he just missed them by a hair, your princess is now in another castle – card?’

    Screw you, Mars Gravity.

      1. I don’t mind so much the fact that the story doesn’t go the way I want it to. I mind the fact that the story’s internal logic is flawed and that the author isn’t trying to fix it, instead he doubles down and tries to get away with lazy/poor writing. This disappoints me, because I like the novel and want to see it’s quality improve rather than decrease.

Now go and crawl back under your bridge.

          1. If it’s just his opinion, why are you getting so upset? Clearly it’s just his opinion.
You guys rage at each other so much, I’m starting to think you’re all having fun.

        1. Completely agree Baghram. What I don’t understand is that if the author really wanted Little Aunt to be kidnapped, why not have it happen during the time Yun Che was tapped under the Heaven Punisher? That would’ve at least made more sense. Like you said, it is disappointing. Hopefully the quality of the story returns to the previous levels after this arc.

          1. that time the enmity was not that strong too begin with and the patriarch kn is son didn’t get kill by yun che, plus those bunch of thing that was happen in empire he could not me care less about little aunt.

if yun che already die and they enmity with him why go after little aunt…. the one who send people after little aunt was the patriach son

          2. The only dumb people around here are some of the commentors like you. Either you guys whine that Yun Che is perfect and a boring Gary Stu, you whine that he’s a rapist and twist all of his actions to make him look like the spawn of Satan, or you whine that he’s an idiot and he should have been perfect while foreseeing all possible future danger with his magic fueled psychic powers.
You guys are literally impossible to please.

  11. you’ll saying a lot of bullshit. what make wuxia what it is and very interesting is that the strong are the rules and they have the power to kill whom ever they want and have any girl whom the wish to have.

when we reading those novel we all the those ideology that we are living in our modern society. what you have to know is tht majority that have power is man and they are able to cultivate faster than womans in the xia world that why they have power to have many girl they want. when you see a world that killing is a everyday thing for them and having how many girl they want is a natural thing.

if u strong you are the rules in wuxia world and if you are weak you are just a pllofshit that account to nothing

when a girl want to change her future no matter if she was from a big or a small clans she have to get stronger so they can’t easily married her to no one or not at all.

i kn thr is a lot of girl who is reading those novel and say how come the guys have a lot of girls and the gl can’t do the same. it’s its hard for gl to have major decisions on how many man they can have. A man in this world will never accept for his woman to have multiple man or they fight to kill each others.

lastly, when you are all reading, try to see thing in the (authors, book, setting) point of view and not this world point of view…. rather its having 6 girls remember the girls who cultivate have to look beautiful cause all the impurity were clean form their body. killing and rape that those not mean nothing to them unless if you don’t want to offend some big power that’s why you don’t see so many beautiful girl get rape. those that those not rape are afraid to lose face in public. those girl that are reading these novel plz understand and stop making fuse when you reading those novel.

  12. Oh Burning Heaven Clan, oh Burning Heaven Clan, what have you done? Did you really want to have your clan annihilate?
I hope Grandfather and Little Aunt are fine, otherwise the Burning Heaven Clan and Xiao Clan will see hell :3

  13. Excuse me but the rape thing has nothing to do with little aunt. If you want for YunChe consequence then let him have some retribution not his aunt who is innocent, if that is your way of thought then you’r not any better than him.

  14. Hmz. Well I can agree with some people that’s its almos tlike he is reaping what he has sown. But on the other hand…well he’s just going to go there and kill them all anyways. No real consequences.

    Thanks for the chapter.

  15. wow that “rape discussion chain” is too miserable… you guys up there forget she had the will to die the entire time right?? what brought her out of that morass was the possibility of regaining her power… she was reluctant because of the price, but ultimately it had to happen or else she would die anyhow! it’s not that difficult a concept to understand, the chapters laid it out perfectly…
