Chapter 1026 – Insane

The stone door didn’t close even after they entered the treasury. Mu Hanyi, who was leading the way, said with a quite serious look, “Senior Brother Yun Che, follow along my steps, and restrain your aura as much as possible. Make sure not to trigger any mechanism or profound formation. The Qilin horn is at the central area, so we should be able to see it soon.”

Yun Che restrained his aura as he followed behind Mu Hanyi. Although he was mentally prepared to see a lot of rare things, he was still pretty shocked at the sight before him. The treasury was so huge that one couldn’t even see the end. High level purple crystals and purple jades were piled up into a mountain, the purple light emitting from them was practically blinding. There was a dazzling lineup of all kinds of profound armors and weapons in there, and innumerable auras of spirit medicine could be sensed. Despite the fact that treasures that easily leak their auras were sealed properly in ice-jade boxes, the entire treasury was emanating such a strong aura that it felt almost sticky to the touch.

“It’s really worthy of being the longest standing empire in the history of the Snow Song Realm. Taking a look at the treasury is enough in itself to make out the amazing prosperity of the Ice Wind Empire.” Yun Che said with emotion.

“Hehe, Senior Brother Yun Che is overpraising us.” Mu Hanyi chuckled. “No matter how strong Ice Wind Empire is, it’s no more than an insignificant country. Even if our strength and prosperity were to increase ten times more, we would still remain a petty and low existence in contrast to Divine Ice Phoenix Sect. What is the sovereign of a nation considered when compared to Senior Brother Yun Che’s identity?”

“Oh?” Yun Che revealed surprise, “I believe that Junior Brother Hanyi’s words were a bit extreme. I can’t fully approve of them.”

“Haha.” Mu Hanyi let out a meaningful and light laugh, but didn’t say anything. He continued to walk further as he led Yun Che in for a good while, before he finally came to halt. Yun Che also stopped at almost the same time, as he looked fixedly in the front.

Before their eyes was a huge sealing profound formation. Within it was a giant horn that was as long as ten meters. Half of its shape was similar to a deer’s, and the other half a dragon’s. It was entirely azure blue in color and was giving off a crystalline glow. However, it didn’t have the slightest glitter and translucency of a crystal. Even though it was sealed by the profound formation, Yun Che could still feel its boundless and dense aura.

“Could this be… the Qilin horn?” Yun Che asked, raising his head.

“Correct.” Mu Hanyi turned around to look indifferently at Yun Che. “This Qilin horn is from an Ice Qilin. It’s far bigger than the size mentioned in the available records on Qilin. Therefore, this horn most likely doesn’t belong to an ordinary Ice Qilin, but some high level species of Qilin, like King Qilin.”

“There’s an extremely strong power contained in this Qilin horn. It’s just that even after using countless ways, our ancestral emperors were never able to draw it out. Later, it was sealed over here, treating it as the halidom safeguarding the empire.”

“…” Yun Che nodded, keeping his gaze on the Qilin horn within the profound formation.

Before his eyes was the thing Mu Xuanyin had sent him here for. But, he had no idea what to do about the profound formation the Qilin horn was sealed in.

As Yun Che was looking at the Qilin horn, Mu Hanyi was actually looking at him. His lips unconsciously curved in a strange way, “Speaking of which, once in the past, I proposed to Royal Father that if I could fortunately become a direct disciple of the Sect Master, then we must present this Qilin horn to her.”

“Oh?” Surprise emerged in Yun Che’s eyes. “But isn’t it the halidom of your Ice Wind Empire? Your royal father shouldn’t have agreed, right?”

“No,” Mu Hanyi smiled calmly. “Royal Father immediately gave his consent. If I could become a direct disciple of the Sect Master, no one in the Snow Song Realm would dare to go against our Ice Wind Empire. Its standing would reach the zenith of the world. Why would we still need some halidom to safeguard the empire by then? In fact, I never believed in something like the destiny of a nation. We might call it a halidom that’s safeguarding our empire, but speaking bluntly, it’s just a useless, worthless thing, whose sole purpose is to comfort our hearts. Ultimately, we have no means to draw out the power contained within it, but Sect Master is certainly capable of doing that. Having the sect master regard me highly by exchanging such a useless, worthless thing, is it possible for a deal to be any greater than this?! How could Royal Father disagree to such a proposal?!”

“…” Yun Che furrowed his eyebrows. He could clearly sense the change in Mu Hanyi’s tone and expression.

“I intentionally disclosed this matter to Master, thinking that the information might be able to reach the ears of Sect Master, and let her know about my sincerity. However, it was you whom the sect master chose in the end, so nothing I do would make a difference.” Mu Hanyi slightly raised his head. “It seems this Qilin horn is going to simply lie here as ever. Oh! No, no, no, it’d be still comparatively better to present it to the sect master, just that…”

“You’d not be the one doing so, but I, Mu Hanyi!”

Mu Hanyi raised a corner of his mouth. His eyes suddenly started to emit a gloomy and bizarre light.

“…” Yun Che’s eyes jerked up. He started moving backwards without making any sound. “Junior Brother Hanyi, what do you mean by that?”

“What meaning? Heh!” His eternally gentle smile, which looked like a steadily flowing water, had abruptly changed into a particularly eerie one. His eyes looking at Yun Che didn’t held the deep respect from before, visibly replaced by blatant ridicule and hatred. “It’s not like you don’t have the choice to present it to the sect master yourself. As long as you kill me, and then use my blood to deactivate that profound formation, you can fulfill your wish.”

He stretched out his finger to slowly beckon to Yun Che, “Come, kill me now. Then, you can bring this Qilin horn back to sect, which would cause the sect master to think more highly of you than before. Come on, hurry up!”

Yun Che’s pupils shrank a bit, and continued quietly moving backwards. “Junior Brother Hanyi, are you… joking around with me?”

“What do you think?” The corners of Mu Hanyi’s mouth lifted into a smile, revealing his white and dazzling teeth that he would keep hidden, even at the moments of smiling faintly. He flung his arm all of a sudden, as he took out a thing flashing blue light before pinching it into pieces. Subsequently, a profound formation was unleashed, glimmering with blue light.

Instantly, a blue barrier was formed around Yun Che before he could even react. By the time he realized his current situation, he was already trapped within together with Mu Hanyi.

The barrier was only thirty-three meters wide, a distance profound practitioners of divine way could cover in no time. The aura emanating from the barrier brought an abrupt change in Yun Che’s expression.

Not only the barrier was extremely resilient, so much so that he was absolutely incapable of tearing it open, it also cut off everything besides light… space, sound, and even sound transmission!

“One needs to be at least at the peak of the Divine Tribulation Realm to be able to forcefully break through this barrier. Even if it’s me, it’s impossible to force my way out of here.” Mu Hanyi lowered his arm as he said in a gloomy mocking tone. Being held within the barrier, Yun Che’s present circumstances were no different from a turtle in a jar.

Yun Che kept on retreating with quick steps, till he arrived at the edge of the barrier. “Mu Hanyi, what… are you planning to do?”

“Didn’t you say earlier that you’ve come to the Ice Wind Empire to do something?” Mu Hanyi smiled faintly. If an Ice Phoenix disciple were to see his appearance this time, they would definitely not dare believe that he was the same Senior Brother Hanyi who was revered by everyone. “To offer birthday congratulations? Hah, do you take me for a fool?!”

“…” The look in Yun Che’s eyes changed again.

“On my way here, I was always wondering why Sect Master had you come to the Ice Wind Empire. Given the ability of Sect Master, there’s no value in conspiring against our empire. Then, at some point in time, I suddenly recalled that I’ve told Master about the Qilin horn, and immediately realized why you’d be sent here… Right, there can be no other reason other than to get the Qilin horn!”

“A major event will be happening in the God Realm. So to prepare herself, the Sect Master is anxious to have some breakthrough. Her asking Huo Rulie to hand over the Golden Crow’s Record of the Burning World during the Great Sect Assembly, is a sufficient proof to support my understanding of the situation. There’s no doubt that the Sect Master found out about the Qilin horn from Master, and is thinking that the power contained in it might assist her to breakthrough. However, since she didn’t choose me as her direct disciple, and also knows that the Qilin horn is a halidom of our Ice Wind Empire, she didn’t feel it right to make a demand for it… Sect Master has to take care of her reputation, after all! Therefore, she sent you over to discreetly inquire the related information! As long as the location of Qilin horn has been searched out, Sect Master can take it away at any time, without letting anyone else know of her presence!”

“Later, when I heard from Royal Sister Hanjin that you asked her a question related to the destiny of our nation, the last bit of doubt in my heart got dispelled right away.”

“You…” The surprised look on Yun Che’s face grew deeper with every word said by Mu Hanyi. “Why do you know about everythi…?

However, he at once realized something, following which, the surprise and fear on his face disappeared without a trace. This time he actually took a step forward, as the expression in his eyes turned dark and stern, “Since you know it already, that makes things a lot easier. Hand over the Qilin horn obediently to me, got it? Or what… do you want to defy Master’s will?”

“Hehe, there’s no way I, Mu Hanyi would have the guts to defy Sect Master’s will. Didn’t I say just now? I’ll personally offer the Qilin horn to Master. But you wouldn’t be there to see that moment, because you…” Mu Hanyi’s tone changed all of a sudden, “Will be dying here very soon!”

Yun Che’s pupils shrank, “What did you say? You… you want to kill me? You dare kill me!?”

“No, no, no, how could I dare do such a thing?! Senior Brother Yun Che is a direct disciple of the sect master after all. I wouldn’t dare harm a hair of you, even if I had guts big as heaven.” Mu Hanyi’s eyes narrowed into slits. “Naturally, you wouldn’t be killed by me, but… due to unfortunately triggering a mechanism here while vainly attempting to steal the Qilin horn!”

Yun Che was slightly dumbfounded, but it didn’t take him long to understand his intention. He looked panicked all of a sudden, “You…”

“Don’t be nervous, Senior Brother Yun Che.” Enjoying Yun Che’s panicked look, an incomparably eerie and elated smile appeared on Mu Hanyi’s face. “I’ll cover up the whole incident very well. Even if the sect master were to personally come here, it’d be definitely impossible to figure out anything wrong with my story. You can wholeheartedly trust me on that.”

“After all, this place you’ve stepped into yourself… is perfect as your graveyard!!”

“You… have you gone crazy?!” Yun Che yelled. “I-I’m in your Ice Wind Empire at present. Even if Master truly believed that I was killed by some mechanism, given her temper… she will put an end to the lives of you all in anger.”

“Oh! You’re right, extremely right.” Mu Hanyi didn’t show any fear in response, and instead nodded in deep agreement. “Even if you died in the process of trying to steal the halidom of our Ice Wind Empire, it’d be completely normal if Sect Master razed the entire imperial city to the ground in anger… But even if Ice Wind Empire were to be eradicated, Sect Master wouldn’t kill me for sure!!”

Yun Che, “???”

“Because you would be dead, and Feixue…” Mu Hanyi’s body uncontrollably trembled for a good while when he mentioned the name of Mu Feixue. His voice was suddenly filled with hatred, as he said gnashing his teeth, “She has lost her former talent after having her vital yin sullied by you! Hence, Sect Master will certainly select a new direct disciple… which could only be me!”

“There would be no one qualified other than me! So if I were to be killed, Sect Master wouldn’t be able to find another suitable direct disciple!!”

“When the time comes, I’ll beg Sect Master to forgive me, for being unable to keep safe our respected and loved Senior Brother Yun Che. And, the Sect Master would be most clear about the reason behind you getting killed by the mechanism set up around the Qilin horn. She would know that our Ice Wind Empire is innocent. In addition, if the empire were to be exterminated, she’d have a guilty conscience towards me. Afterwards, I’ll personally offer up the Qilin horn to appease her… Every part of my plan is logical and well-reasoned! The things I lost or were snatched away from me, will all return back to my hands one more time!”

“To achieve this aim… you not only want to kill me, but are also willing to put Ice Wind Empire in a greatly perilous situation?” Yun Che said as he panted heavily.

Mu Hanyi opened his arms, saying leisurely, “So long as I can succeed, what does it matter even if the entire Ice Wind Empire is drowned in the flames of wrath and exterminated?”

“…” A deep frown surfaced on Yun Che’s face. “You sure are insane.”

          1. He can’t. He already experiemented when he first came to the God Realm. It doesn’t have enough power to break through space in this realm.

          2. @MasterProdigy.

I think he got a pendant from Mu Xuanyin that was similar to that thing used to power up the Primordial Profound Ark in Blue Pole Star, i think he can use it but hasn’t had the need for it.

      1. Probably trying to trick YC in one of the defence mechanism to have him killed and than discretely get out of there to have YC accused of dying while trying to steal from the treasury.

  1. Thank you for the chapter! I think Hanyi will try to trap Yun Che somewhere where he is not supposed to get out from, don’t think he will fight him 1 on 1. Not sure how things will develop because he might not want to risk the wrath of the Sect Master since all this is happening in the Ice Wind Empire. It will look like an accident and Yun Che trying to steal the treasure and being trapped since Hanyi must know that Yun Che is here because of the halidom. But I am a little disappointed. Hanyi was pretty much able to keep his cool most of the time and then he randomly shows his nasty side in front of his brother. That’s somehow simplyfying the character again and one-sided. After all these chapters I know there is so much repetitiveness but I thought it will be different with Hanyi. Thank you for the translations guys but I am really frustrated with the pace of the story/author and the fillers (everybody being shocked and arrogant, ultralong descriptions of unheard things etc.)

    1. “But I am a little disappointed. Hanyi was pretty much able to keep his cool most of the time and then he randomly shows his nasty side in front of his brother.”
He didn’t show the full depth of it at all, he said just enough to test his brother and find out if he could use him as a pawn or if he would simply be a hindrance that needs to be removed, not full on evil mode at all.

    2. Randomly? He is not doing it randomly, he is obviously scheming something because Yun Che “stole” his position as direct disciple and was bestowed Mu Feixue, both are the only things he had wanted and is not randomly trying to do something, just planning how to kill Yun Che inside the treasury.. after all he told Yun Che to go alone without anyone knowing where he was going or who he was going to meet with.

I believe Mu Hanyi will try to kill Yun Che in a fight, cause even though he is amazing at controlling Ice Element, he is still just a Divine Origin and can be killed easily by a Divine Tribulation (in Mu Hanyi’s mind), then Yun Che to counterattack will use the Blood/Poison he got from Mu Xuanyin to protect himself.

      1. I doubt hanyi will fight, and there are several reasons why he should NOT want to kill YC himself.
First no matter what sort of crime YC commits, killing him will still not be pardonned by the GRK, and hanyi must know that.
Second, killing YC himself is not a good way to regain is chances to get back both the girl and the disciple position, it will always make him suspicious.
Third, hanyi was direct witness to YC stopping the all out attack that no one int the fire realm had mastered for generations and that is able to destroy everything from a genius whose casuals attacks he himself couldn’t even defend against. I suspect that his heart is full of fear and doubts about fighting YC.
Taking hanyi ultra calculative nature, and provided he “tricked” YC to come alone and unnoticed to the treasury, it is almost certain that he will try to trick YC in one of the deadly traps in the treasury, than make it look like YC went there on his own and accusing him to want to steal.

        1. Let me point some things out for you.

          1. Even though Mu Xuanyin wouldn’t forgive anyone killing her disciple, she won’t know unless there are clues of who it was. Hanyi has made sure that nobody knows where Yun Che is nor who he went with by having the guards not follow him.

          2. Even though he is not entirely sure wether or not he can get the position Yun Che has and the girl, in his mind he was about to win the contest in the lake, therefore he thinks that if Yun Che were to disappear he will be the best candidate to be the direct disciple. For that reason he wants to kill Yun Che by luring him into a place nobody knows where he is at, after all that cave where they went is a secret for the public.

          3. Even though he witnessed how Yun Che was capable of withstanding Huo Poyun strongest attack, that was only a contest about their understanding on the Ice and Fire laws and their potential in it. It had nothing to do with Profound Strength. Otherwise, how do you think Yun Che would block a move that had enough power as to rival a half-step Divine Spirit??
If a Divine Tribulation fights with Profound Strength against Yun Che at the Divine Origin Realm, Yun Che would be dead for sure or at the very least have to be saved by someone else (or using the Sky Poison Pearl’s poison).

          1. The GRK has proven many times that she does need proofs to go berserk. Plus she has means no one in the snow song realm can understand, so it pretty presomptuous to assume she wouldn’t be able to unearth the truth. True Hanyi seems to believe he can trick the GRK, plus he thinks feixue is ruined (making him the sole cnadidate should YC die), but that’s only his POV.
The fact that the huo guy didn’t attack with profound strength does change the fact that it was his ultiate attack, that he was drained dry by it, that it annihilated everything in several meters around YC, and that hanyi would definetely have died to that same attack. Plus Hanyi doesn’t know that the only reason YC didn’t die to it is because of the heretical god profound vein, so he must at the very least be wary of YC.
We both agree that Hanyi has tricked YC to come alone and unnoticed so he can have him die, but he will not attack YC directly unless he has no other options left.

  2. I’m trying to figure out how this will all go, but the problem is that I seriously don’t think it’s possible for all of this to end without Hanyi’s true nature being exposed fully, at least to Mu Xiaolan.

The best I can come up with for what might happen (step by step):
1: Hanyi accidentally almost kills Yun Che with mechanisms, before or after seeing the horn – Yun Che evades barely (obviously).
2: They see the horn, Yun Che performs a switcheroo with it or otherwise swipes it without Hanyi noticing.
3: They leave, the next day Hanyi’s father notices the horn is missing.
4: Hanyi accuses Yun Che of stealing it, Yun Che is completely shocked and denies all involvement.
5: Yun Che is searched, no stolen goods. Yun Che suggests that Hanyi be searched, the horn / any other stolen loot turns up on Hanyi or in his room.
6: Hanyi is exposed as a “thief” who accused Yun Che to try and get out of it, Yun Che is given the horn as an apology.

I just don’t really see any other way for it to go, with both Yun Che getting the horn and Hanyi’s true nature somehow getting exposed too. I also doubt that Hanyi would directly try to murder Yun Che himself, though it’s possible I guess but I really don’t see him doing it in a way that has any chance of getting caught or there being any witnesses.

    1. I honestly think YC will somehow try to get rid of Hanyi right now, I don’t think he’s gonna let someone who’s out for his life walk around. And Hanyi will most likely spill all the beans now, I mean isn’t that why they playing this convo chess game? Also I mean wasn’t that the reason why the author went out of his to let us see YC receiving the dragon breath and blood, foreshadowing of someone doing something that requires the use of those items.

      1. If he tries, then I can only imagine it will fail 100%. I just don’t see the author letting Mu Xiaolan forever see Hanyi as a perfect gentleman if she’s to have any potential as a harem candidate, and if he dies now then his true nature would never be exposed to her.

I also don’t see what Yun Che could really do to kill Hanyi in this situation.

          1. “Didn’t he get that dragon blood that makes one horny?”
It was used on him, that doesn’t mean that he has it and can use it on others. Also, what exactly is that supposed to achieve? Yun Che would leave out of the secret route and get torn apart by profound beasts because Hanyi’s aura isn’t there.

Let’s pretend that isn’t a problem and he comes back with guards, then they all find Hanyi with a massive erection and is possibly desperately humping the nearest female statue – that would ‘prove’ Hanyi’s a pervert, not that he is a murderer.

          2. With Yun Che status he doesn’t even need a witness, his words are enough. And before he was saying, that he felt bad to take the horn from them, when he is treated so good. So he just needs an excuse.

          3. If you’re just going to go with his word alone, why even risk putting yourself in harms way in the first place? You could skip the middle step and just make the accusation without sneaking into the treasury at all, it would be incredibly weak both in story and out of story either way.

          4. Well because he simply feels bad about taking the hereditary treasure! And he actually can’t be sure about Hanyi nature, maybe he is really a saint. Knowing this novel i’m 99% sure this is gonna happen.

          5. …Your ideas are terrible, and you should feel bad.

Whatever happens, three conditions need to be met:
1: Yun Che survives and gets the horn.
2: Hanyi’s nature needs to be exposed, either now or a bit later on. Especially to Mu Xiaolan.
3: It needs to be entertaining to read.

Your ideas satisfy the first condition, barely try to fulfill the second condition, and don’t give a crap about the third condition.

          6. Lol where did that come from so suddenly, and this 3rd point… smh
I was right, and you should fell bad for yourself for making up such a dumb scenario.

          7. Why should I feel bad if Mars takes a scenario with tons of potential that can be as good as one of the greatest arcs in the entire series and goes in the worst direction possible for it?

          8. “It was used on him, that doesn’t mean that he has it and can use it on others.”… I’m not sure if we’re reading the same thing, because it was clearly written a few chapters ago (before YC came to the Ice Wind Empire) that YC was given the dragon’s blood by the Sect Master.
            Also, about your “conditions”:
Condition 1. Yes, YC needs to survive, and he needs to get the horn, but he doesn’t need to get the horn right away. As many others have theorized, a very plausible scenario is for the Emperor of the Ice Wind Empire to give the horn as compensation because of Huanyi’s attack. There is absolutely no “need” for YC to get the horn right away.
Condition 2. I agree with you on this one. Huanyi’s true personality will be revealed, and most likely soon.
Condition 3. I think I get what you’re trying to say here, but you used the wrong word. If every chapter had the need to be “entertaining”, this web novel would have long disappeared. What it should be (not needs to be), is enjoyable. There are many novels out there that can be an enjoyable read without the slightest use of entertainment. The reason I said should, and not need, is that even though ATG should be enjoyable (to at least a certain audience), it may not necessarily be so. That’s why there are some chapters that are disliked. Nevertheless, the story still goes on, and that’s why even though it should be enjoyable, there is no absolute need for it, and the story will continue.
I guess the main problem was just using the word need. Even though some of the points are important, it can play out completely different whike maintaining it’s uniqueness.

          9. “Didn’t he get that dragon blood that makes one horny?” It was used on him, that doesn’t mean that he has it and can use it on others.

@kczz15 – hiryune is correct in that YC does have the horny dragon blood amongst other things given to him by the GRK before he left.

Chapter 1018 – “The white bottle contains the breath of a horned dragon.” Mu Xuanyin said, “Bingyun was struck by its poison one thousand years ago, so I have been researching it ever since as I hoped to find out a way to purge it. But now that the poison in Bingyun’s body has been completely cleansed, there is no point in keeping it any longer. As you have the Sky Poison Pearl on your person, it is naturally much easier for you to handle poisons, so I’m giving it to you.”

“As for the red bottle, it contains the blood of a horned dragon.”

The moment she mentioned ‘the blood of a horned dragon, Mu Xuanyin’s gaze grew unspeakably cold and not a single ripple appeared in them. It was as if she had never used this to scheme against Yun Che. “This is already useless to me. Hmph, perhaps you could find some use for it.”

    2. There is completely no point for such scenario. Yun Che created this opportunity on purpose, to make Hanyi act against him, so he will have a reason to take the horn as compensation. Hanyi behavior, the title “luring out the snake”, and YC talk about his hidden nature, suggest this. From Hanyi perspective, he spoke how weird it is that a direct disciple came for a birthday of a lowly country king, so he knows that YC actually came for the horn. Hanyi wants to become the Realm King disciple, so he needs to get rid of YC, and there is no point for an accusation of stealing. Even if Yun Che was caught stealing, with his status he could say “I didn’t steal anything, and if you know what is good for your country, you will drop the matter”, and they could do nothing to him.
That’s why Hanyi is obviously luring YC to a secret place with no witnesses to kill him in an accident, or to use a delayed poison, so he won’t be suspected. But YC of course already knows it, and will cach him red handed. Everyone will see Hanyi nature, and they will give him the horn as an apology.

      1. Okay – so how is Yun Che supposed to survive a direct assassination attempt if Hanyi goes with that route, and who is supposed to be the witness here at 1am in the secret treasury?

Your version of events only works if Yun Che can both survive and prove that Hanyi intentionally tried to kill him.

        1. Well if YC knows what Hanyi would do, then it’s not that hard to set up a trap. For example bring Mu Xialoan and guards inside his profound ark. I’m sure he will think of something.

          1. I can’t rule it out but it feels unlikely, that’s a very basic plan with any number of things that could go wrong with it. This is the perfect chance for a similar escapade to back when Yun Che was in New Moon City and pretended to be a doctor, all the while crippling that one guy and looting the treasury.

I’d be very disappointed if the plan was so incredibly basic as “Yun Che brought witnesses along and is simply waiting for Hanyi to try and backstab him openly.”, especially since there’s no guarantee that Hanyi would ever be overt with the assassination attempt and would almost certinally try to make it look like an accident.

    3. Yun Che’s main goal is the halidom. Exposing and/or disposing of Hanyi comes secondary to that.
Hanyi’s main goals are more complex. He has to both dispose of Yun Che and absolve himself of blame. Considering that this is Hanyi’s best chance (seeing as Yun Che created it himself) that might never appear again, he definitely has to act. As such while I don’t have any concrete guesses, I’m fairly certain of two things.

      1. Hanyi is gonna do most of the work and Yun Che will just reap the rewards with minimal effort and some danger.
      2. Hanyi and/or his stellar reputation will not survive the next few chapters.

Based on those two I don’t think Hanyi’s gonna accuse Yun Che of anything, but he’s likely to get someone else to accuse Yun Che. He’s far more likely to (try to) have Yun Che die while still within the treasury area. Theoretically, if he disposes of Yun Che’s body at that point, there’s no link to him. Even better, if he’s the one who ‘discovers’ and recovers Yun Che’s body to bring back to GRK, he will have earned some merit.

      1. “Exposing and/or disposing of Hanyi comes secondary to that.”
Correct, from the perspective of Yun Che’s goals. The problem is that god (the author) needs Hanyi exposed in front of at least Mu Xiaolin, after the previous warnings by Yun Che and needed to remove the Hanyi stumbling block from her character, so Hanyi *has* to be exposed either now or later.

As for how it’s all going to go down, I’m really not sure as it could go any which way. I have my finger’s crossed though, sneaky Che hasn’t needed to come out for the last 850+ chapters now as Yun Che’s always been powerful enough to overcome obstacles with brute force, at least since after New Moon City. Now that his personal strength is close to the bottom rung again (relatively speaking), it opens the door for intrigue and subterfuge again.

    4. I think Hanyi will just try to kill Yun Che in secret, after all nobody knows where he went and who he is gonna meet with. Hanyi will use the chance to try to overpower him with his cultivation, even if Yun Che has a great affinity with Ice Element, it doesn’t mean anything against profound strength and Hanyi will use that to try to kill him. Yun Che will try to protect himself with the Dragon Blood or Poison he got from Mu Xuanyin.

After that, Yun Che will expose Hanyi to the public somehow and ask for compensation from the Emperor and get the Qilin Horn.

  3. Пиздец как мало. Эй, переводчик! Переводи, блять, быстрее. Хули так мало? Вам ещё деньги платят, а, жмоты, даже главу “допилить” не можете

Yun Che, that’s your cue, unleash your fiery wrath upon this fool

  5. Alright, enough pretending you’re shocked and just murder his ass already. He’s got dragon poison that the GRK gave him and if that stuff could work on somebody as powerful as Mu Bingyun then it can easily work on an insignificant loser who’s only at the Divine Tribulation realm.

I see so this barrier might even prepared by his dad as well or at least given by him.
YC will thoroughly suck this kingdom dry and use it’s shell to make another step stone to prevent another idiot like Hanyi to appear again.
