☯ ISSTH Chapter 630 ☯

Major name change please read.

I’m not going to go into the details of why, but effective immediately “Immortal Li” is “Dawn Immortal.” All previous references have already been adjusted.

    1. I don’t think so… Immortal Li is not Lord Li as far as I understood it. Immortal Li(Dawn Immortal) was the one Revelation was talking about, while Lord Li was the previous Lord of the Ninth Mountain and Sea and was most probably at the very least in the Ancient realm, but very possible in the Dao realm. So technically the joke shouldn’t be affected at all.

Edit: It actually makes everything a lot less confusing because so far there are at least 3 Li in the story…

      1. thank you for your comment, I read it as ‘Lord Li’… makes my comment below a little more redundant (was thinking maybe Ji and Fang would get direct translations later on as well)

        1. I also had the same problem. I even started to think Meng Li had something to do with the other 2, especially where they talk about the ‘mother of the Resurrection Lily’…

  1. Interesting: the order (Dawn Immortal as opposed to Immortal Dawn), any big reason why you chose the former or do both work?

    thanks DB

    1. The character “Li” could be a name, or it could be a noun “dawn.” So I’m switching to the “dawn” usage, which is not really a name. Therefore, it’s similar to Blood Immortal.

  2. Huh so that’s why I couldn’t find the Lord Li reference I was looking for yesterday! I was thinking about the resurrection Lily’s origin and couldn’t find it. Thanks DB!

  3. Hmm, ok, one question though. Back when “Dawn Immortal” first appeared back in the Song clan, wasn’t there some mention of her name being related to the resurrection lily? I can’t remember if it was in a footnote or not, but does that change now?

    1. No, it’s the same. In fact, one of the reasons for the change has to do with the word “dawn” appearing in the info about the Resurrection Lily.

And as Arhys pointed out, the person in the Song Clan was not the Dawn Immortal, it was Meng Hao’s mother, Meng Li.

  4. “I’m not going to go into the details of why…” In other words, if Deathblade went into details why then he’d be putting out a spoiler… Because Deathblade always goes into details of why he translates things as he does if he changes them or if they’re important.
At least that’s my guess. haha.

    1. It’s probably to make more sense of the oncoming chapters. I don’t know what Dawn refers to yet, but in the chapter “The Flower Blooms at Dawn!” it was said that:

“The flower blooms at dawn, and achieves Immortality on the day of vicissitude. The mother of the Resurrection Lily… the Dawn Immortal….”

  5. Does any of the following Li-s have the same character or connected somehow?
    – Meng Li
    – Immortal Li
    – Lord Li
    – Patriarch Li (of the Li clan)
