☯ ISSTH Chapter 1115 ☯

I got a new desk a while back, but it wasn’t until recently that I realized the keyboard shelf is apparently missing a part, causing it to lean down on the right. That in turn makes me lift my right hand up while typing to compensate. Considering I type about 10,000 words per day, that can be problematic, and has been leading to some pain in my right hand. I temporarily fixed the problem in a unique way. Pics after the jump.

      1. Yeah, probably something like that will happen.
Be careful though. BDB might try to get it out on his own, and he could get his hand stuck between the desk parts doing so.
Maybe replace it with a piece of wood and put a screw through it, to keep it in place.

        Thanks for the chapter!

Even the cheap die are made from solid, hard plastic. If enough pressure was applied (say 500+kg) then the die would likely get squashed, if the hollow desk tubing didn’t deform first, instead of breaking apart in some way.

  2. Yeah, I’d definitely see about swapping out that dice with something a bit more stable and frictive, and less likely to either slip out or dangerously removed by BDB wanting to re-enact the golden idol scene from Raiders of the Lost Arc. Try looking into something like a rubber wine stopper or something, it seems around the right size, although hard to get the size from just an image, or, y’know, finding a replacement part.

  3. Amazingly I have the same desk. It is one that has two work surfaces and a keyboard slider under them, right? If that is correct, you have a different issue. The space, you are compensating with a dice should be there, but the front part is shorter than it should be. The front raise should be the same height as the back one. If you still have a warranty and a manual you might want to compare and use them while you still can.
