The Legend of the Dragon King has Arrived!

Hi everyone, the Legend of the Dragon King has arrived!

It has been a month or so now since the end of Child of Light but now, I, the Hyperdimensional Space Vampire, have returned with the Legend of the Dragon King!

The Legend of the Dragon King is Tang Jia San Shao’s latest novel and is set in the Douluo Dalu universe.  Reading this book does NOT, however, spoil Douluo Dalu. The release pace will be 3-4 regular chapters a week (starting next week) + as many sponsored as there are.

Start reading from the prologue here!

For readers before the move, a newly added prologue has been added to the index!

Here’s the synopsis of the novel:

Following the advancement of soul technology, the humans of Douluo Continent conquered the ocean and discovered two new continents. After being hunted by spirit masters excessively, the soul beasts are nearly extinct. After countless years of lying dormant, the King of the Soul Beasts has awakened in the Great Star Dou Forest. It will lead its remaining clansmen in taking vengeance against humanity!

Tang Wulin is determined to become a powerful Soul Master. However, when he awakened his martial soul, it was actually a…

Incomparable talent. The battle of the Dragon King. The Legend of our Dragon King hereby begins.

P.S – Imagine if a dragon was piloting a mecha.

Legend of the Dragon King contains NO major spoilers for Douluo Dalu or Peerless Tang Sect. Events in the other two novels are only mentioned in passing.

          1. I think way more info should be added there.
things of the line, if its ok to read it having not finished Douluo dalu.
How it is related to the privious novels, and etc…
Pretty sure that a lot of people dont want to read it to be sp01led( about douluo dalu ) whitout knowing

  1. I’ll go ahead and ask this but is this a sequel to Douluo Dalu, like will reading it spoil the storyline for me cuz i’ve been trying to stay away from all the sequels until the first one is finished…though that’s gonna take forever of course. But yeah if anybody knows please tell!!

    1. Unlike DD2, Legend of the Dragon King has very little spoilers. To the point where it is currently translated, the only parts that may be considered spoilers are that the previous MC’s defeated the big bad and did MC things at the end. Also, any mention of previous characters only states that they are “OP guy from X years ago”.

Basically, go ahead and read the novel. You will not be spoiled about the other novels in the DD universe.

  2. I’m glad you’ll be translating the legend of the dragon king, however, just wondering, will you start from the beginning? If I remember correctly radiant translations is around chapter 90 something.

  3. I want to read this but the other Douluo Dalu novels have not been fully translated yet. Does anyone know if this book will spoil important things form the previous two or will it be ok to start reading this before finishing the others. Also the mecha part sounds like Skyfire Avenue

    1. Hi, here’s a reply I gave another user:

  4. omg

    thanks for this

    you guys rock.

i almost lost it. when it took so much time for each chapter to release in that previous site.

am looking forward to another awsome novel release from you guys…..

    thank you

  5. Awesome, I was reading this somewhere but they seemed to stop posting, or wordpress wasn’t working properly. In any case I’m glad I wont have to look for it now ^^. Currently reading Douluo Dalu 1 & 2 as well.

  6. Does this suffer from the same problem as the prequals, as in, it feels like it’s aimed at young teens, very little killing or bloodshed, arena battles centered around teams etc.

      1. Why is it a problem? I mean it comes down to taste, i think it’s beyond fake really, barely any killing? Like that would happen, constant school settings suck, constant team battles suck, it feels like it’s aimed at pre-teens and while i don’t want to use the term realistic since it’s a fantasy novel, but it feels really unrealistic the lack of life and death situations.

Ofcourse i haven’t read this novel, that’s why i’m asking if it’s like the other two.

        1. There’s a part later on in DD where the MC goes to a place where he spends a year or so in a place where he has to kill people daily, so there is massive killing, and there is bloodshed other than that in DD it’s just later on in the novel, in fact(minor spoiler for untranslated chapters)—————> a massive war takes place.

Actually I think the team aspect is one of DD’s strong points, most other Xianxia/Xuanhuan novels focus on the MC with most other characters fading into the background.

    1. did you read the novel of the first one or the manhua, because the novel has its fair bit of killing In it and moved on from the arena tournament a long time ago,and there’s a lot of blood in the novel.

  7. Well, welcome back sir, big fan of your work and as someone who really like to read stuff made from Tang Jia San Shao universe i hereby say my deepest thanks!

  8. I wonder when lord xue ying also being brought to WW. Its awsome novel and already has dozen chapter on its index. By the way thanks for another great novel ww team

  9. for me the question was, if he was killed by another human would he produce a spirit ring himself? and if yes would his spirit ring be based on the blue silver emperor or the hammer?

  10. Aren’t we supposed to read DD2.5 first?

Unlike DD2 and DD1 where the MC aren’t related, DD3 MC is somehow related to Tang San and DD2.5 IIRC.
I have been holding on reading DD3 since no one translate DD2.5 before.

  11. This is awesome!
I hope DD1 and DD2 will be in wuxiaworld.
    I really love them.

I’m also following this on manhua/manga.

More power to wuxiaworld and to its translators.

  12. I was wondering how important/present are the mecha elements. I’ve read 40ish chapter and so far I’m enjoying the read, however if MC starts going full giant robo pilot it’s really gonna spoil the fun for me.
