  1. Thx for your work. I’m a bit confused now and curious too. There were almost two days without releases, and now it will go on hiatus for one update because of the end of the book (that could also be extended like this one). This week we’ll have so little releases, and even if not, updating schedule is really messed up. Is there a reason for that? And also it would be good to know if there will be problems with releasing schedule in advance.

        1. RWX explained this here: http://www.wuxiaworld.com/new-de-chapter-release-book-30-chapters-23-24/
Let me copy his explanation down here:

No, updates don’t consume any time at all. I don’t usually post them for three reasons:

          1) The updates would be devoid of information, because I cannot give a fixed time for when the chapters would come out; every time I have tried to give a ‘maybe time’ and not hit it, I’ve gotten burned. Past experience.

          2) Giving updates would perpetuate the belief that I have a daily regular schedule. I do not; I have a weekly regular schedule.

          3) Past history. If you go look at some of the old CD posts from two years ago, I was almost clockwork-regular and very responsive… and the only result was that people would (some politely, some not) post the exact same things you are posting when I was slower to post by HALF AN HOUR. I distinctly recall that one time, when the chapters were delayed by 1-2 hours, a few people were actually claiming that I was holding back chapters on purpose so that I could get more pageviews/ad money as people F-5’d (wtf?). That’s when my decision was made that expectations would need to be reset.

Reader expectations need to be at 10/week, with anything else just being a pleasant surprise 🙂

    1. dude. there is no schedule besides 10/week and 8 on new-book weeks. he could dump them all sunday night and that’s still abiding by the schedule. Y’all are tripping.

      1. There was a schedule. RWX decided to stop following it. Only Deathblade and a few others are still trying to keep a modicum of professionalism on this site.

        1. Yeah this break at the end of the book was introduced when he was doing minimum 14 chapters a week and the books used to be almost twice as long. I’m too lazy to check but i remember it being 10 chapters a week regardless of when the book ended.
Either way i doubt RWX even does the translating anymore, just the final editing. With the amount of views this site gets, the ad revenue alone is many times more the patron donations.
All the translators that joined this site early on with exception of deathblade have drastically dropped their output. If people still donate the same amount to them, we know who to blame.

Worst thing to happen to this site was it becoming popular. Its a shame.

          1. but rwx still delivers on the weekly releases he says he will do, no matter the schedule of how he does it, that in itself is professionalism enough for me, personally. RWX manages so much different stuff for the site, as well the logistics/politics involved, he’s had a hard time for a long while, probably stressed out.. so would be nice if you could chill out, and then ask questions again if he fails to keep his weekly chapters, in the end the donaters are ”supporters” for rwx, not the reason he translates. he’s been saying that all along.
this site started as a hobby site, and that atmosphere is a great thing, forcing people to do stuff the hard way will just tire them out. I’m sure once RWX is capable of handling it in a fast and swift manner he will do so, at least that’s my previous experience

          2. I agree with Archew.
Besides Ren himself dedicated a post to explaining that he DOES NOT work on a daily routine but on a weekly basis. I believe his words were “as I have explained before I release 10 chapters per week. I don’t have a daily routine for releasing chapters and the chapters are released as consistently as my life is at that moment. If you want more consistency buy a blender” or something like that.
So please just relax and wait. If you really want consistency you should only come on Monday.

          3. The original post: http://www.wuxiaworld.com/new-de-chapter-release-book-30-chapters-23-24/

RWX’s explanation in the comments of that post:

            post 1:
Respectfully, your memory fails you. It has always been ten chapters a week. When my life is more regular, the chapters are more regular on a daily basis. When my life is less regular, the chapters are less regular on a daily basis. If I am not going to be able to make the ten for a week, then I will warn you that I’ll miss chapters this week and will make it up next week; thus far, I believe it has happened exactly once in 80+ weeks. I’m not going to warn you on a daily basis because that is not my schedule.

            Post 2:

        2. The schedule has always been 10 a week, save for the two months when I promised 14 a week (and did it for those two months). I defy you go ahead and try to show otherwise.

    2. Well he got hold off by halloween, plus recently talked about depression problems which could still be echoing even now. And again remember that he is dealing with all the rights ownership crap – its behind the scenes, but eats a ton of time and effort.

Just chill. Currently he is delayed in releases, but he’ll catch up some time down the line. You’re still getting a steady stream of reading.

  2. We will get 8 chapters a week. We normally get 10 chapters a week, but the week a book is finished we only get 8 chapters so this week we will only get 8 chapters. This are 2 chapters, so 6 more to go for the week. And usually, Ren takes the next day off after finishing the book, so I expect the next 2 chapters to be either Thursday afternoon or Friday morning.

  3. Well if we consider the fact that there is about 285 chapters left for the series to end, I’d say that 10 a week is still fine..But then again that’s just my opinion…
